I am very glad to hear it!!

"I am very glad to hear it" is the title of the next song I write after I finish "Maybe he has a toothache, Maria".

It's going to be the "relief" song after we learn our hero doesn't have a toothache.

Cillaliz, those photos you took were wonderful!

Wheneve I take a photo of the cat or dog their eyes always look"evil" and glowing. I hate that.

You have to stop provoking those animals or I will call the ASPCA!

"Lost" trivia from Season 2 finale:

Desmond took over the hatch from a man whose original partner had been named "Rodzinsky"!

When Desmond challenged the reality of such a character, the other man directed his attention to a stain on the ceiling.

He said that was all that remained of Rodzinsky...who had stuck the barrel of a shotgun into his mouth after he went insane.

My one concern, does Claudia's fate follow the book's storyline?

I wouldn't know since I hated INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE so much I never finished it.  She does come to a grisly end in the musical.  Does that help?

I just received good news from my friend I was worried about.  She doesn’t have cancer.  It didn’t look good at all & I was really scared, so were her children who rushed home.

Wonderful news, Jane!!

Back from a very nice last class - several people were absent, though, which I frankly find peculiar.

Trying to work up enough energy to jog.  It's quite smoggy out, so I'm not sure if I will or not - but I feel I should.  And I have to make a decision whether to trudge over the hill for the party at the hair salon - given that's I'll only be able to be there for twenty minutes, I'm just not sure it's worth dealing with traffic.

I watched half of a really good movie last night...Cecil B. De Mille's FOUR FRIGHTENED PEOPLE (1934) starring William Gargan, Herbert Marshall, Claudette Colbert, and Mary Boland, with Leo Carrillo...the cast really make this film a lot of fun, let me tell you...Colbert is practically unrecognizable as the shy school teacher while Boland and Carrillo had me cracking up numerous times!

I highly recommend it (it just came out on DVD).

According to my Futurama calendar, it's both Miles Davis' birthday (1926) and Mike Myers' birthday (1963).  Coicidence??  YOU decide. ;)

It also says that today is Carpet Day in Turkmenistan.  Let's all celebrate Carpet Day!! ;D

So I just placed a call to the clinical director for the program I recently interviewed with (twice).  I had been nervous about placing the call because he had initially told me to expect a decision by the end of last week.  And here it is approaching the end of this week and still no news.  We spoke briefly and he said they hoped to have a decision by next Friday.

So I took a deep breath, and now I'm having a glass of wine with my lunch.

I know that I am psychologically torturing myself.  I had 2 great interviews and know that there is only one other person being considered for the position.  And having worked in HR for over 3 years, I know how long it can take to make hiring decisions.  But that doesn't stop me from playing the what if game.  At least now I know that I can relax for the next week.

Which I plan to do while sitting on the couch this weekend watching a certain film sent by a certain HHWian.

I love that Giraffe picture RLP. The Vixter has a copy  of it, cut from a magazine, taped to her bedroom door

DR MATTH - both DD's Third Season and the Special are scheduled to ship on June 7 - I thought that was the day they were both released.  Time will tell.

According to DVD Verdict, the DORIS DAY SHOW - Season 3 comes out next week. I guess the special is the week after and they will ship both of yours in one order when the special is officially released.

DR Tomovoz, are you familiar with a Greek pop singer by the name of ANTONIS DOMINOS? He has a CD out, but I cannot find it anywhere!! CDBABY.com has, or had, it...but now they say they are permanently out of stock, even though it is listed under new releases...doggone it!

I ask Tomovoz this question because Antonis was evidently a contestant in that Eurovision program that he is very fond of.

Had a lovely lunch, but boy was it hot outside!

However, storm clouds are moving in now, and I suspect we will have those showers they predicted for this afternoon.

Came back and finished MY OWN PRIVATE IDAHO that I had started yesterday. Unusual film with some touching moments and also some pretentious ones. The Criterion set comes with a thick souvenir booklet which I will have to read tonight.

The talk of those CAMELOT stills that DR Ron won reminded me that I had intended to make CAMELOT my next DVD to be watched. I had forgotten about that, however, and put in instead A VIEW TO A KILL, Roger Moore's last James Bond film.

Hadn't seen it in awhile, and the whole thing is just tired. He's too old to be playing the part convincingly (his stunt double is about 20 years younger and much slimmer than Moore was at the time). Still, I'll watch the whole thing, and I'm only about 40 minutes in. I know it has a ways to go yet. But, since I'm not planning to watch any network TV tonight, I can finish this and still put in CAMELOT tonight.
