Great stories DRPANNI!

Actor:  Those lips, those eyes, those hands...."
Mae West:  "What're ya doin'?  Makin' love or takin' inventory?"

And I THINK it was Mr David Merrick who said:  "There's a horse's ass for every light on Broadway."

I'm sorry, DR MBarnum. Had you asked earlier which Disney's we'd want? I know one I wish was out that two of my dearest friends are both desperate for: DR. SYN aka THE SCARECROW OF ROMNEY MARSH.

Of course, we all want the best possible copy of SONG OF THE SOUTH, and once the new set of Disney Treasures comes out this spring with VICTORY THROUGH AIR POWER, I will have most of my wish list. (Got the complete THE RELUCTANT DRAGON in the last batch.)

I'm not a betting man, DR Dan, but I'll say that the new FIDDLER revival will last through next December-early January and no longer, if that.

My mother has a box of Playbills from plays and shows she saw on Broadway in her younger days.  One of them is for Shakespeare's Othello, starring Paul Robeson, Jose Ferrer and Uta Hagen.  What a magnificent performance that must have been!

My mother loved Paul Robeson.  I believe she saw him perform when she lived in South Africa.  I’m very hazy about the location.  I do know, years ago, she smuggled in a recording of his.  I looked for the album when I was cleaning out at my Dad’s but couldn’t find it.   :(

Oh DR Jane - we are so lucky.  It is easy for us to forget that once upon a time in certain places....and even in other places today....that a production of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF wouldn't even be permitted!

DRMATTH - there was a two-part (or maybe three) adventure on Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color about Dick Turpin the Highwayman...  I just remember that I thought the actor who played the leading role was great - and there was a wonderful theme song as well, but I never saw it again!  I want THAT show, MBARNUM - call Eisner and tell him!  I keep watching the schedule on the Disney channels, but haven't seen it broadcast.  Does anyone remember it...and who played Dick?

TCB with your handsome new photo, have expressed the karma situation very well.  I was a bit disappointed this morning to find this fun giving option gone, but shall not miss the complaints related to that nasty boo option.

DRJENNIFER:  Here is MY cheese enchillada recipe.  Get in the car, start the engine, drive to Taco Bell, tell the box you want "The Cheese Enchillada", drive to the second window, pay money, go home...eat.

I didn't forget.  I just wanted to catch up on the posts first.  It has been scanned into a file and hopefully I can post it, without Keith's assistance.

Wel I've been home since 11:30, and I STILL haven't posted. Until now. Huzzah!

Grades are starting to come in: I have a 91 on my French exam, 93 on  my French exam, 85 on my Drivers Ed Exam, And Algebra is up in the air, because the machine that scans the Scantron sheets broke. I took Biology today, with a guaranteed D. It was TORTURE, we NEVER went over half of it.

MBarnum, I completely agree on THE UGLY DACHSHUND. I would watch that movie a hundred times over when I was little. I'd also like BEDKNOBS AND BROOMSICKS on DVD, but for all I know, it could already be out.

Fiddler Casting:

Tevye: Elijah Wood
Golde: Britney Spears
Daughters: Paris and Nicky Hilton, Nicole Richie, Tara Reid, and Christina Aguilera.

I can't think of who I'd hate to see in the other roles at the moment. I'll post when I do.

Music of the Moment- Michael Jackson, The Way You Make Me Feel.

Thank you, Jane.  I am glad you like the photo.  I must give credit where credit is due.  I sent the jpg to DR MattH who very graciously agreed to size the photo for me.  When I tried to do the sizing myself, the picture came out so blurry, that it looked like one of the Thirteen Ghosts without the 3-D glasses.  Come to think of it, they didn't look much better with the 3-D glasses.

Wind chill warning for
Montréal métropolitain-Laval continued
The wind chill factor is reaching between minus 38 and minus 50 and will continue that way over most part of Québec until this evening,
tonight or Friday morning, depending on the areas.

-50?  -50?  -50!!!!

That's it... I am not leaving the house until May.  :(

The pipes in our kitchen (the coldest part of the house) froze last night.  Twenty minutes with a hairdryer and we have flowing water - still, it makes you wonder about just how cold it is down there!

DRSWW - just click your heels together three times and say "Tommy Kirk is Merlin Jones...."
I'll click my heals together three times and say "Tommy Kirk is a friend of Dorothy," how's that!

Re: taco bell

Well I would at least like to have the option. I LOVE mexican. And sometimes it would just be nice to drive through and get something.  We do have a fast food Mexican place at the mall. But it's not cheap.

I love Taco Bell's chicken bowls and steak bowls, unless the kid making your order is either high or hung over.  They are nice and fresh, and they are very satisfying.  Not gourmet Mexican, but healthier than a Big Mac.

Jennifer, Keith transferred the recipe to a jpeg file so I can post it.  He thought he was simplifying things for me when in fact he complicated the situation.  I am embarrassed   :-[ to say I’m not sure I can post the file but shall give it a try.  It also looks a bit blurry to me.  If this doesn’t work I shall just have him fix it when he returns.
