TPunk I hope my boys remember all the wonderful birthday & sport cakes I made for them.

Cillaliz how are you and Callie?

Callie is exhausted. She hates the car and meowed for over 1 1/2 hours on the way home.  When we got home I threw away their shared litter boxes and bought new ones so ithey won't have his scent at all, and cleaned and scrubbed the eating area. I know I can't get rid of his scent for her completely, but I was going to start deep cleaning tomorrow anyway, so I can make somewhat of a dent.  She seems amazingly good.  I'll be curious to see how she acts when she's had some sleep.

A friend of mine said "If he did that to you, what do you think he was doing to her?"  I'm beginning to think he has a point.

I'm fine.  It was hard for a couple days, but I did what I had to do, and I am totally ok with it.

STOP TALKING ABOUT CAKE!!!  I have such a sweet tooth.  I'm trying to be good, but I may have to be bad - that said, I've only had 750 calories today, so I can do what the HELL I want.

I'm watching a really interesting VHS tape I found in the garage the other day, about which maybe more later.

Cillaliz I'm glad to know you are both okay.  I hope she lets you sleep tonight.  A new litter box was a good idea.  They should be replaced periodically anyway.

I found that tagline:  "When she was good, she was very very good.  When she was bad, she was even better."

Similarly:  "She was rotten to the corps, but great to the infantry."

My favorite is "When she was good, she was very very good. When she was bad, she was popular."

Thanks Jane, I think she will. She's home now and that makes a lot of difference.  And yes, I do replace litter boxes periodically.  ;)

Angel food cake doesn't have THAT many calories and it's great with strawberries on top.

Hello!  All caught up now.  This morning we spent cleaning around the house and Vixdad opened the pool for the summer.  Then DR WFO and his DP Joe came over and we had us a little barbeque with steak and potato salad and coleslaw and corn on the cob and for dessert we had angel food cake with whipped cream and strawberries.

After the meal the Vixter tested out the pool and declared it offically open.

TOD:  My mom makes a great cauliflower casserole which is superb when eaten with her roast beef and gravy.

She also makes wonderful almond butter cookie crescents a Christmas treat I really must learn how to make myself.

FJL  the three mice have been given pride of place in our china closet (immediately that we arrived home last night in fact) and were proudly shown off with much fanfare to todays' visitors.

Again I thank you for your kindness and generosity.

Wonderful to see TCB back posting.  I'm very glad to see that the doctor did not remove your wit and great sense of humor along with the defective hip.

All caught up!!  DR Jose, the project at Walt Disney World, if it's what I think it is, intrigues me to no end. (Being the Disney nut I am, I'm pretty much up on what's going on) That would be fun to do.  Best wishes for whatever it is you decide to do.

I'm off to spend time with an accordian, as I prepare for a run of "Fiddler" in July.  The conductor doesn't seem to want a synth!  :)

DR Vixmom - regarding The Vixter's interest in origami:  she might find it interesting that my DH, a retired teacher of math/science to gifted 4th, 5th, and 6th graders, used origami to teach geometry.  He also used the braiding of flat plastic twine (like you learn at camp?) in his teaching.

Oh, and I bet if I dig through all the Japanese stuff that exchange students have brought us over the years I could come up with some origami paper.  Would she be interested in that or anything else Japanese?

Jose gave the Vixter a bag full of little origami animals that he had made over the run of Lestat and which decorated his pit area.  They are beautifully made and she was very interested. I believe I have seen a book along the lines of Origami for Dummies or the Klutz Book of Origami recently that I may pick up for her  (maybe she'll even get to like math!)

I also like bison meat... Slow cook it.... It is delicious when prepared properly

They sell a lot of buffalo meat here in Washington, and it is very good.  I let others cook it, I just eat it.  There is a little hamburger joint (Tatanka's) just up the street, that sells only buffalo meat in their burgers, tacos, etc.  Otherwise it is a vegetarian restaurant.
