I can't tell you how disappointed I am that Tomovoz's illegitimate niece, Nicole Kidman, didn't receive a single nomination for anything!
I HATE MARZIPAN.
Actually, Jane, except for the ships sailing to the Grey Havens, we missed a big chunk of the last part of the book. There was a chapter called "The Scourging of the Shire" in which the Hobbits return to Hobbiton and find it overrun with all sorts of disreputable characters and they have to clean everything up. I'm hoping against hope that Jackson filmed some of that for the expanded release.
Well, I have liked some of Robert Altman's films and others I liked parts of more than the whole. I will also readily admit that there are quite a few I've never seen. When I see them coming up on one of the premium channels, I try to remind myself to watch it, but I usually forget. I guess I assume I'll catch up with them eventually, and that's just not true. I would most like to see SHORT CUTS which got lots of very positive reactions from folks I know. I've never managed to catch it. One day . . . .
Well, I was working my way through these long, long notes following a fun rehearsal which was preceded by a NOT FUN DRIVE THROUGH SNOW AND ICE, and DR TCB's (He of the gorgeous new photo) response seemed to beg for a response:It just show to go ya that those voters at SAG are people with exquisite taste!
Inspired casting, insipid script and direction, though.POPEYE is usually listed as Robin Williams' film debut, but, didn't he do a couple of indies before hand?
I remember Quintet. I wish I didn't. Whoever thinks Paul Newman can't turn in a bad performance should see this film. Of course, everyone else involved should be embarassed by it, as well.
