I’m exhausted & trying not to fall asleep. Friday we drove 10 hours to Bakersfield for the night, then Saturday spent most of the day playing with the litter of puppies and deciding Sherlock had the best temperament of them all.

The breeder put us to work helping her bathe them all. It was a very fun day.
After the fun & games we headed to L.A. for the night to visit with Keith’s mother, and then back in the direction of the breeder for our Saturday morning adoption.
It is amazing how much “stuff” is needed when traveling with an 8 week old puppy.

Keith slept, I should say didn’t sleep, on the hotel floor in a puppy playpen to keep Sherlock company and quiet. He really was very good and handled the trip well.
Last night, his first in a crate, I slept on the floor next to him. We all got up at 2:00 and again at 5:30 for him to go out. Once again he was very good so I think we can sleep in the comfort of our own bed tonight, of course that might make it more difficult to get up at 2:00AM.
