I believe that pic is from the premiere production of Andre Previn's opera, A Streetcar Named Desire at Chicago Lyric.  He played Stanley Kowalski.

*It's available on CD - and DVD, I think.

Thanks. Yes, that's the right outfit to play Stanley!

DR MATTH - I thought you typed Special Agent Shirley Booth....

JUSTICE has been cancelled!  Whew!  I kind of liked that show the one time I got to watch it.

I must say that Ms Heidi Klum - and I know she has a LOT of help with clothes and makeup - but she is beautiful.

Dancing with Stars Teaser.....they just said tonight's elimination is one of the most surprising ever....cool beans

I didn't hear that teaser. But i would not call it the most surprising ever. I was surprised at the second lowest. But i thought that person was the worst. And while I like the person who went home. I think they were one of the worst as well.

I was pleasantly surprised at the first person saved (willa). I think she is one of the best females (with monique and vivica). I was glad for her.

And i guess my voting for marion payed off. :)

Huh? Who said so? I know it's going on hiatus due to baseball, but I hadn't read anything about it being canceled yet. I know Fox's HAPPY HOUR is in desperate trouble.

Best friend John will be glad STUDIO 60 is rerunning tonight after RUNWAY on Bravo. He missed Monday's episode on NBC. I put it on the DVR, and if he didn't see it, I'll dub him a copy.

Was that in a memo from Alberto Gonzalez?

Dinner was a lovely Chinese buffet, but I'm wondering if something on it contained MSG - to which I'm allergic.

I'd be amazed if any meat or veggie dish did NOT contain MSG!

Marion??? Is there a librarian in the competition?     ;D

I wasn't that surprised at the eliminated contestant.  His fan base would have been around 20 years ago and they probably don't vote on tv shows.

Well...  Victor Garber was on "The View" today, and he said that the show is not cancelled.  -It was always the plan to get it started, then to go on a hiatus of sorts once the baseball playoffs began.  So...

Here's what I just pulled off the internet about JUSTICE:

"Also in the uncancelled-but-pulled category is the Wednesday legal drama "Justice," which was set to have two more pre-baseball airings. Instead, the episode scheduled for Oct. 4 will move to this Wednesday and the Oct. 4 hour will be filled by a repeat of "House."

Sources at FOX say that the "Justice" move was simply to avoid using a new episode of the show against the season premiere of "Lost" and that "Justice" will still return in November as planned.

Coming from TV procedural titan Jerry Bruckheimer, "Justice" is more likely to get the benefit of the doubt than "Happy Hour," which received some of the fall's most savage reviews and has failed to find even minimal traction on Thursday nights."

Yes, DR Matt H, the photo of Rodney is from the San Francisco Opera production of A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, which also starred my BABES IN TOYLAND colleague Elizabeth Futral as Stella.  I believe I first saw him in a production of COSI FAN TUTTE, and I think he's wonderful on the Encores! NEW MOON recording.  Rodney is Danilo on a wonderful DVD of THE MERRY WIDOW from Zurich.  Unfortunately, it's in German, but the production of DIE LUSTIGE WITWE is quite beautiful.  I wish someone would tape a performance of Britten's BILLY BUDD with him or Nathan Gunn or Christopher Maltman.

I had a lovely dinner with my Dear Friend BK, and I must tell you all how much I like the score to THE BRAIN FROM PLANET X.  It's silly, very catchy, and it will be fun to work on.

Now, to catch up on PROJECT RUNWAY's latest episode.

OK - knock that off >:(

Besides, John Ashcroft instituted the "Just Say No to Guilty Bastards Rights" memo years ago.

Back from a long rehearsal and a lovely meal and discussion with elmore.  Despite all good intentions (and an understanding director), I probably used my voice too much this evening - I'm not necessarily a good "marker" although I tried.    Well, I'm going to beg off a lunch date tomorrow and just do what I've been doing, which seems to work - i.e. walk and sit in my room like so much fish, not talking at all.

Instead, the episode scheduled for Oct. 4 will move to this Wednesday

Which was tonight!

(Glad about OCT 4, however, now I can tape "Criminal Minds" - Mandy at his high and mighty best!
