I did try to write a one-act called SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN-ELEVEN once.

And of course, there's the famous SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN SAMURAI.

And SNOW WHITE PRACTICES SEVEN DEADLY SINS

Unless it warms up outside, I'm afraid today will be a non-jog day.

BTW, DR Elmore, your arrangement and the performance of "The Holly and the Ivy" is one of the loveliest things I've ever heard.

Thank you so much! I'm happy you're enjoying it.

ASSOCIATED PRESSHow many bites of the apple does this DA want?

der Brucer

This DA is a moron, and the whole things smacks of the Tiwana Brawley embarassment of the 1980s.  I hope the DA is dismissed when his term iis up for renewal.

Dan (the Man), Dakota thank you, the vibes worked.  Last night was better, Sherlock only kissed me a few time and curled up next to me, not on top.  ;D  The rest of the night I slept as I usually do  :-\

Hutch (but no Starsky) and his assistant, from Jet Heating, called and said the temp patch on the leaky gas heater was done and it was up and running.

I asked how it could be running when it had been turned off from inside the house...and they had no access to the inside of the house.

So I drove home and turned the thermostat on. Nothing. They had hooked something up wrong.

They crawled back under the house and started over while I waited ...I playing with Bosco and then doing the dishes.

I have heat now. Don't know whether my house will not blow up...but time will tell.

I am going to have the gas company come out and double check it just to make me feel better...but quite frankly I am terrified to even use this darn gas heater.

Jhvw-It’s nice to see you.  Good vibes 2007 will find you living in a big city in your own apartment.

Cason-Glad your finals went well.  Have fun with your latest projects.

Jose did mention, while he is still in the DC area, he is spending as much time as possible with his little nieces and nephews.

As some know, I recorded Mr. Durang's Beyond Therapy.  I like him very much, but was a little disappointed in him when he wasn't supportive during the bad time with a certain record label.  There were still things that remained not quite finished in that recording, but the gentleman who engineered the takeover of the company released it the way it was - certainly quality never mattered to that gentleman - hence his hideous mixing of my Sherman Brothers CD, you know, where he left half the band tracks out of the mix so that one is left with about nine players and half-orchestrations.  BRILLIANT.

In any case, Mr. Durang was not supportive and that is all I need to say about Mr. Durang.

Let me speak on behalf of Mr Durang and other artists you have felt were not supportive during your travails, and I know how awful, traumatic, and unjust that period was.   Many of them - including me who didn't know about the "bad time" for over a year! - were suckered in my the outrageous lies about you from your deceitful colleague.  I owe my finding you online to Liz Callaway who told me in 2003 about HHW.  Until then, I only knew what I'd heard from the other label's new office a year after the backstabbing happened.

JRand-WOW, great price on the ticket from Seattle!

We bathed and groomed Sherlock this morning.  Now he is pretty and shiny for the holiday weekend.  His puppy fur is almost gone, now it is short wavy.  I miss the soft puppy fur.

And for peas and cabbage!

Twiggy told me about a music hall singer, Vesta Tilley maybe?, who had a naughty song about the little girl who sits amongst the cabbages and peas.  The censor made her change it to a song wherein she sits amongst the cabbages and leeks.

Just keep in mind, it's wise to disengage the "repeat track" function on your CD player.  Otherwise, you'll never know when a piece comes to an end!

It's a good news day. No leeks or leaks but we have had RAIN - nad in many of the forest areas. The fire situation has eased a little - rain, a fall in temperatures and a drop in winds. We are hoping for more rain in tne next few days. A WET Christmas woudl be wonderful.

Thank you all for your supportive thoughts in these worrying times.

I also love the Elmore arrangment etc for "The Holly and The Ivy". The best remembered song from ALW's "Woman In White". I wonder if it was used in the New York production.  It was sung in the Wedding Scene in the London production - just before I fell asleep.

I'm sure there is some connection between Glass Houses and Emperor's New Clothes!

I know Larry is a fan.  NOT.

In DECEMBER?????

Veg should be seasonal.  And local.  Shipped from Argentina doesn't cut it.

I'm pretty sure Naked City was an early DVD from Image.  I think I have it.

What a lovely day this is.  Did my shipping, picked up my packages (including FJL and Skip's lovely Bansai tree), and am just lounging around the house.  Had some credit to use up (trying to use it all before the closing of the store) so got Operation Crossbow, The Illustrated Man, Up Periscope, and a really early copy of Sparkle.  As the box says, long before Dreamgirls (well, about three years before) was this very similar-themed film.
