I'm back from

1) riding with DH Richard to the University of Cincinnati to pick up our DS Rob, who had just returned from a 4-day conference in Louisville, KY,

2) lunch at Panera

3) a nap

Deep Discount sent me the HD DVD version of "Reds which I am unable to play!  Damn. (Of course I could blame Jose but he is tired at the moment. I probably ordered incorrectly but the price I paid is the price quoted for the "regular" DVD).

Last night's replacement viewing was "Capote". A great performance from its star.

DR Ann, I have missed both you and DR Jed quite a lot.  I hope your holidays have been festive.  What's the guestroom like in that new house?

I'm back from being in search of foodstuffs - I went to Jerry's Deli, got some turkey, onion rolls, and cole slaw and that sounds like a mighty cozy meal to me.  Oh, and some Russian dressing.

Why do you know if everyone made fifty posts right now, we'd smash all the records known to man.

On whom do you blame the meter? (No, Jose and Colin don't count)

I'll go check out the nastiness on the other board FJL posted on (I saw the post and wondered if the usual suspects would appear).

The Everly Brothers sang "How Can I Meter". Perhaps they had difficulty as song writers too.

They've certainly had difficulties as Brothers.

Oh, and some Russian dressing.

The snack would be more interesting if the Russian was un-dressing.

It's almost time to "Worry" about whether this year's Oscar nominated songs will reach the dizzy heights of last year's gems.  (Or the M & M song from three years ago).
