How about some favorite Yvonne DeCarlo performances!

THE MUNSTERS tops my list, but I also enjoyed her in the film RAW EDGE.

And her CD that I recently got is the tops!

At a recent meeting at work, someone pointed out the difference in ads based on who their targetting- one showing a young man of color joining the armed services to escape his ghettoized neighborhood and move on to something better. The other had predominantly white soldiers talking about how great it felt to save people.

That seems so wrong and so sad, why not both messages to the young man of color.

Liked her a lot in CRISS CROSS with Burt Lancaster and on a couple of episodes of THE VIRGINIAN.

Had a fine afternoon with some entertaining shows and one film.

I began with last night's BOSTON LEGAL. Parts of it were very funny (Staner, being his usual goofy character), but james Spader's closing argument was so stirring, so moving that it brought me to tears. The show can be grandly effective when it has something important to say.

I was going to comment on her in FOLLIES, too.

I never saw it, but her recording of "I'm Still Here" from Follies is the best.

I shall now be on my way to rehearsal, after which, I shall return.  I've gotten everything done with the exception of the last couple of paragraphs of the Brain notes, which I'll finish upon my return.  I'll smooth 'em out, and then send 'em on their merry way.

Next, I watched last night's HOUSE. To see an apologetic House was pretty surprising though the case interested me less than usual.

From there, I watched last night's LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT. A disturbing hour of husband and wife separation/divorce squabbles, I never knew who was lying. As it turned out, everyone was including their child.

What would these shows be if people only told the truth?

5 minutes long, I suspect.

I ended my afternoon viewing with another True Life Adventure, this time from Volume 3: THE AFRICAN LION.

Like THE VANISHING PRAIRIE in Volume 2, Disney had cleaned this movie up tremendously sharpening focus, making color richer and fuller, and thus making it thoroughly enjoyable to watch. The image is so sharp you can see the numerous flies on the bodies of the animals in repose. Amazing stuff and solidly entertaining.

Now, I'll have last night's VERONICA MARS rerun to watch again and I have the True-Life short subject BEAR COUNTRY cued up in the DVD player.

I also got some Blu-ray discs in the mail this afternoon, but I don't know if they'd be time to watch one all the way through tonight.

You will LOVE it!  And it's only a block or two over from the Pantheon.

One of my cousins and his wife went to Rome last year.  Saw everything BUT la fontana Trevi.

They didn't have a map...and had too little time to pursue it.

I told him he should have called me from his cell phone and I would have directed him properly.  He could have walked there in five minutes from the Pantheon.

I forgot DIRT was on last night!

I'm waiting for someone to develop a show called SQUAT.

Then I can write that I forgot SQUAT was on last night.

Or, I can write that on TV last night, there wasn't SQUAT.

Or, I can write there was nothing but SQUAT on channel 7 last night.
