Good Evening!

On dinner break right now...

Good afternoon session, but...

The actors are brought in in groups of 25.  During one group, there happened to be about 5 or 6 people doing Jason Robert Brown songs.  And at one point there were three songs from The Last Five Years - and they were presented in the proper show order.  I could even sense the reaction from the company members watching the auditions.  Was this planned?

Nope.

*Needless to say, I got a good workout today.  One more to go.

Oh... And one other "coincidence" from this afternoon...

There were two young woman at the top of one group.  And it turned out they both were singing the same song.  And almost the same cut of it too.  I wasn't sure when I checked the second singer's music beforehand if I should tell her the singer before her was singing the same song.  I just didn't want to share any possible "bad" news.  -And I also figured that they might have caught the duplication during their briefing session while they were lining up.  Well...

Well, the second girl came up to the on deck chair, and saw the music sitting on the piano....  "Ohhh..."

Stuff happens.

Very strange that these Disney movies are showing up on TCM this month.  Last night was 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA, shown in the widescreen version which I have never before beheld.  I loved it--haven't seen it in years.  And whoever was the cinematographer certainly understood wide screen composition--not an iota of wasted space in any frame.

DR Jennifer - (I think.)  To sort of answer your question from the other day...

I'm guessing the "secrecy" clause is much like any other Reality Show - or even Game Show - secrecy clause.  Much like the "Survivor" contestants are not allowed to reveal anything until the episodes start airing - and even "Jeopardy" contestants are not allowed to share the news of the winning - or losing - until the episode airs weeks - sometimes months - later.

As for the isolation part - no e-mails, limited phone calls, etc. - that's just another way to protect the integrity of the show.  The finalists are not allowed to lobby for themselves.  -And/or badmouth other contestants.  And, conversely, the producers want them to stay in a proverbial bubble to make sure they're not being affected by what "everyone" is saying about them.
