Edisaurus -- do you have a vine called "Dutchman's Pipe" or something like that?

We have it here, I think, but I've never grown it. Butterflies love it, though...it provides food for them. The flowers look like little meerschaun (sp) pipes.

I wear one piece of jewelry, and one only, my wedding ring. No watch, no earrings. A few times a year I'll break down and wear a necklace of some sort.

I suggest you adorn yourself however you please, dear EDI.

Also enjoyed (and was dismayed) by DR EDISAURUS' posts concerning her preservation fight and its outcome....

Don't be dismayed...we spent 2 heartbreaking years on it and are now moving on to better things. It will be weird, afer having lived in Marietta for 37 years!

I'm now going to my sister's house to help move a couple of very heavy TVs up and down her stairs.

That's a novel approach to exercise!

I do believe that more people support preservation than previously. Perhaps many of those battles which seemed lost at the time have actually helped in the end. You may have influenced public opinion just the same.

Boy, I sure have let my DVR get bundled up with lots of recordings I never seem to get around to watching.

Right now I am watching WITHIN OUR GATES (1920) which is the oldest surviving film directed by an African-American. The print was located in Spain, of all places.

Apparently not.

I think I like Weird Al's version better.

But James is cuter.

Stephen Sondheim has won some kind or other special Grammy honor.

And JERSEY BOYS won Best Cast Recording or whatever the award is called.

You can tell I'm paying strict attention to the Grammys, can't you?
