OH!

DR Dan (the Man) - One of the really nice thing about the Finale family of notation products, is that they all the file formats are compatible - backwards and forwards - with each other.  Meaning files created in Finale, can be read and edited in PrintMusic - even NotePad! - and vice versa.  -Of course, if you start to edit a piece in a "lower" program then your editing power may be "reduced".  So...  If you find you like working with SongWriter or PrintMusic, you can then upgrade to Finale later (or Allegro) with no compatibility issues.

Allegro?  That's a new one on me.  I'll investigate that as well.

What's up with tonight's prime time TV schedule?

All repeats, except CBS???????

It's the first week of March and they're already pulling this crap?

SURVIVOR is the only thing on CBS that isn't a repeat. As I explained before, ratings sweeps ended last night, so they're not going to waste new episodes every week. We'll get an occasional new episode for our favorites in March and April (I don't think HEROES gets a new episode until April 2nd), but nothing ongoing until the next sweeps - May..

Thank you, DR JRand, for the lovely wishes about the memorial service I attended today.

It was filled with laughter and many, many tears as we remembered all the highlights of 30 years of doing all types of shows.

During my experience with her, she stage managed me, she shared the stage with me, she clothed me, and she directed me. I can't begin to describe all the memories that flashed through my mind during the service. I'm so lucky to have some of the shows we did together on tape so I will never forget special moments.

THAT...or, you could send parts in advance, have the visitors learn their songs.  Then, you could spend an evening before the tour rehearsing everyone to perform a cappella.

Then...you could lead the tour and every now and again stop and sing an appropriate song at some spot on the tour...something that was sung at that location in a movie or on Broadway.

If I promise to sing very softly (or not at all), may I sign up?  :-X

After I got home, I was able to watch last night's outstanding and very scary and surprising episode of MEDIUM.

Even though I still despise the actress playing the deputy mayor and think she's so hopelessly weak in comparison to everyone she shares the frame with, the episode still was excellent.

I was very happy to see his praise for elmore - not many reviewers are smart enough to even KNOW there's an orchestrator.

And a whole paragraph, too!  Great review for all!! ;D

Wouldn't you think that a review like that on what is supposedly a major B'way website chat board, would get at least one order?  Color me nauseated.

I've written two pages thus far and in another page or two I'll be coming up on the end of a chapter.  I'm really enjoying writing short chapters - it really keeps the pace moving along.

I'm gonna take a pass on it, Jack.  Thanks for thinking of me, but I'm pretty sure I've read it....and after reading up on a reissue of both volumes, it's one of those that went "Whoosh!" "Whoosh!" through my eyes, did a lap around the inside of my head and then fled out my ears.

Why won't YOU read it?

It's turning out to be a real theater party at CURTAINS tonight.  I ended up upgrading myself, so Ben will use the extra ticket (though he can't join us for dinner).

Also, my friend Julie (whom Larry has met at our place) will be at the show, "coincidentally" sitting across the aisle from my new improved seat.

Don't forget your umbrellas.

I picked up an obnoxiously touristy umbrella today, but it's small enough to fit in my purse, so I got it.

And to think I could have gotten an M & M umbrella
