Favorite board games (that I can think of):  Sorry, Aggravation and Monopoly.

No need to apologize, George. I like Monopoly, too! ;D

Zuni on 43rd and 9th is good.

And they have a great jazz trio on many nights. (A friend of mine books acts for them...) Good food, too!

One of the made up rules we always played with in Monopoly was putting all paid tax money and fines onto the middle of the board.  Whoever landed on Free Parking would get to pick up the current pile.

We played this way, too.

I always loved Yahtzee. We played it on trips with the family when we moved across the country (seemingly every year...)

My favorite card games are hearts and gin.

I like gin, too. With a little tonic water and lime...

What's the name of that board game where you have to come up with as many songs as possible with the given words on the card you pick?

Don't know it but it sounds like fun!

It'll pretty much seal the deal that we are a nerdy old married couple that have nothing else to do but sit around and play board games... :D

I have several producer friends and their wives at Turner who play board games together several nights a week!

Spite & Malice, which I've totally forgotten how to play.

Gaga and I used to play that all the time. I think there were some similarities to double solitaire.

Do I need to get a life?

My self inflicted task is to "clean up" and transfer 48 Coca-Cola jingles for transfer to Cd.

Artists include the Supremes, Fifth Dimension, Little River Band, Petula Clark and The Four Seasons.

I have three houses...two in Marietta and one in Atlanta. Should I buy another one and trade it in on a hotel?

Hmmm, i just checked out abc.com and i guess UGLY BETTY is a repeat.  I wonder if they just changed that since my tv guide has it as being new.
Are you sure you'e working with a new TV Guide?

SURVIVOR is the only thing on CBS that isn't a repeat. As I explained before, ratings sweeps ended last night, so they're not going to waste new episodes every week. We'll get an occasional new episode for our favorites in March and April (I don't think HEROES gets a new episode until April 2nd), but nothing ongoing until the next sweeps - May..
Heroes will be new on 3/5.

I picked up an obnoxiously touristy umbrella today, but it's small enough to fit in my purse, so I got it.

I predict, based on past experience, that it will last as long as your walk from the theatre to 1 block before the Edison.

Good sneaking, DR Cillliz!

I have a fever and feel like crap but there are tornado warnings and the GA Navigator shows a solid red line which means traffic is NOT moving. I wish I could just beam myself home and crawl in bed!

Good afternoon Dear Esteemed and lithe BK --   I haven't really been being
E & T, but I have had some really great construction help for yesterday and today and we've made a ton of progress on the "soon-to-be" theatre wall in my den.

We had to literally open the wall in several places, move the location of several studs, add some new ones, drop in a new dedicated 3-wire grounded circuit all the way from the breaker box, build enclosures to hold the 2 pieces of electronic support equipment, then re-drywall and patch everything.

And all of this got done in 5 hours on Wednesday and 3 hours today, by 2 people.  Huzzah !!  I'll post a few pics of the progress and the changes either later tonight or tomorrow.

And as to the TOD :

It certainly doesn't seem to be in fashion anymore, but I really enjoy playing Gin Rummy.  But I don't seem to run across many other people who are interested in cards.

A friend tried to teach me bridge years ago, but i was hopeless.... it also didn't really grab my interest.

And when I was about 19 or 20, I knew a couple of real die-hard card players;  one was a friend of mine's mother, and the other one was her sister.  Their name were Myrt and Frieda, and they taught me "Hearts."  It was fun to play with them, and I even got fairly good at it.  When things weren't going well for Frieda, she would start mumbling "oy!" softly under her breath.  They were a great pair !!

OH, I forgot Hearts. My buddy Mark loves that game and whenever his family or friends from Wyoming would visit him here in Oregon we would always play a game or five...of course I had to be taught all over again each time they visited...but it is a fun game.
