And where is dear Cason this weekend?  Did I hear that  he was confined to bed until further notice?

Leslie Parrish was indeed in my mailbox, so I've got some good viewin' ahead.  I've written a little over a page and will now try to do two more - that may be it for today - I feel like watching some DVDs.  If I don't finish the chapter today, I can finish in the morning and still get pages to my muse tomorrow.

So, I was asked to do a song at the Barbara Deutsch Do tomorrow night.  Additionally, I was asked to write some parody lyrics to Mame.  So, I asked her best friend Alison to send me a list of Barbara habits.  She did, but way too late for me to write a parody lyric.  Meantime, I couldn't figure out what song to sing that would mean anything - then I had a stroke of luck and it came to me that I could just take Alison's list and set it to music.  Which I did, quickly.  And it's really funny.  I actually got everything to scan correctly by just adding a word or two here and there, and moving things around.

Hello, Tom. I see you're keeping the home fires burning (an Ivor Novello reference) while everyone is off celebratin' St. Paddy's day.

We will be off to upper Manhattan later for a game party, most likely Celebrity. We will have snacks and libations. A good time is predicted.

Has edi caught up yet?

Hi, TCB! Yes, I caught up. I went off for brunch with my DH, and had scrambled eggs with broccoli in honor of my friends' first meeting. Yummm!

We were walking around the back of the restaurant and saw some folks loading in film equipment. It turned out to be some friends of Greg's who were shooting a music video, so we helped them load in their gear. We may go back up tonight to hear hte band while they're shooting. It's country music, not my fave, but it would be interesting to see a band play in this space, which is an old movie theatre which hasn't been used in decades.

Does anyone have $1.5 million that I could have.  My favorite property in all of Tacoma is up for sale.  It is a beauty.

Yes, it's just 15-20 minutes west of Marietta. My Dad used to live there in a wonderful old Victorian house.

On our way to brunch we listened to Tommy Steele singing "I'll Always Be Irish", in honor of the day. (It only takes one song to get to the square...)

My life-long best friend just moved to Dallas a couple of months ago.  Will S & V be shown in the Atlanta area any time soon?  I would love to get him to come see the film.

Good Afternoon!

Well, I've actually been "working" the past couple of hours... If you can call what I do work..  At times, like today, it's just too fun and too meaningful to be considered "work".  -I really love my "job".

That really is a beautiful place.

*Now how come the mortgage calculator doesn't let me spread out the mortgage over 30 years.  300 years would be more like it for me.

DR edisaurus - So, after reading your posts, I'm guessing Saturday afternoon is your only free time slot to catch another show?

If I drank coffee I'd have some Eyerish Coffee.  Perhaps I'll have an Eyerish Diet Coke instead.
Hmmm... that would be Diet Coke with at least a shot of Irish whiskey added, topped with whipped cream, right?

AAR YE BEIN' SERVED?

This from a guy who thinks wearing a costume on Halloween is silly.

der Brucer

Now, you have to admit, it's a cute hat.

I got lots of complements from the customers.

And it's a hat, not a costume.  I don't do costumes.

I started my afternoon finsing "The Plymouth Express" which I began last night and got about halfway through. Always a fun mystery, and when you know the identity of the murderer, it's fun to see how the clues are planted and how the murderer sidesteps incrimination during the first interview.
