DR Karen, didn't you know we decided to suspend all by-laws, rules and departments and give all power to the Great and Powerful BK?

That's right.  We're just mere acolytes.

Hello, all!

Today Marvelous Matt and I moved my office over to temporary quarters in the guest room and I'm now back online. Impossible to catch up on all the posts!

Glad to see Jane here--I take that as a good sign.

Advice needed:

Last night, an e-mail was sent to all board members of the alum association stating that the votes were in and the overwhelming majority had voted yes to me and my plans.  My suspicion is that the troublemaker gal is furiously at home trying to find the bylaws so she can attempt to nullify the vote.  Since I've been told the bylaws were suspended years ago and since for the last five years I as a board member have never been asked to vote on anything (if there are bylaws then there are bylaws and they can't be used when everyone feels like it and not used when they don't), I'd assume she either won't find them or that it won't matter.

The question is should I write a brief note to everyone thanking them and saying positive things about what we hope to achieve?  Basically saying that I'm acknowledging the vote and that we'll now begin our restructuring.

Yes, by all means carry on. If the troublemaker lady tries to usurp things then then cross that bridge when and if you come up to it. Who knows, maybe you can win her over with you charm and new ideas!

Thank you FJL.  Keith really needs them too.  Every time he takes Sherlock out (it must be on a leash), Sherlock playfully jumps, bites, and scratches him, just like a little puppy.  Only he isn’t a little pup anymore and Keith’s hands and arms are a mess.

Cilla-I can’t believe you didn’t get sick on the plane.  You are so lucky.  I would have been terribly ill.  One of the first things I do after getting my seat it to make sure there is a barf bag.

DR MICHAEL SHAYNE,
So sorry about your back problems. Have you tried an osteopath? My back and neck were injured some years ago and I could not get along without osteopathic treatment. I find it most helpful!

HEALING VIBES TO YOU!!!

Sorry -- I must've missed it!

Let's see - that picture was taken at our first rehearsal with the "Brain" prototype.  It basically looked like a tiny pup tent and it had this little yellow plastic construction hat in it for Egbert.  Sadly it fell out within the first 20 minutes, so while BK was working with other folks, Egbert, myself, and our assistant stage manager were just goofing around working hard.  So, we thought it'd be fun to take silly pictures, one of which is this one -- me being a "sexy" construction worker, and what I am holding is a part of my belt, as if I were about to take it off...but really it just looks like I'm holding a shiv or a screwdriver, ready to shank someone.  Blame it on the angle!

(that's what she said)

Thank You.  I was thinking it was either your tribute to The Village People or how you dressed for your Full Monty audition.  ;)

It's actually raining too much here, flood warnings etc, but i was amazed at how green everything was when I got home.  It was still brown and looked like the end of winter when I left. When I got home the grass is green, leaves are popping out and the flowers are coming up.
