Lois Lane lilted a lullaby for lovely lesbians.

That's a tongue twister, if I say so myself.

What a cunning linguist you are!

Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

Let me guess - you don't like Don McLean's American Pie either!

Not that you asked me, but...that is probably my least favorite of any, any, any (that is 3 anys) songs in the entire world! LOL!

Although the song JACK AND DIANE come might be a toss up as to most disliked (by me) songs.

I have to agree with Pogue. MacArthur Park raises the definition of stupid song to a whole new level, no matter who is singing it. I've heard other versions and they all strike me as laughable.

For what it's worth, I'm with you, DR BEN.

RE: last night's MEDIUM

SPOILERS

I liked the show, as i always do.  But there were a couple of parts that i find slightly predictable (especially the whodunit).

I LOVED everything with bridget. I love this kid (i like the older daughter too). But this kid (her real name is maria) is the best.  She did this entertainment show correspondence gig at the kids choice awards. And she is just as funny in real life.  Anyhow her dreams and her storyline this week were great. I love when the kids are involved.

I liked alison's brother okay. When i saw he was a telephone psychic i could not remember exactly if he had any abilities. But i certainly enjoyed that he was able to see the dead guy.

I guess when the case was supposedly solved with so much time to go it seemed obvious there was more to this story.

I must say though i was a bit surprised with her brother's final decision. That was a lot of money he was offered!

Good golly! Of all the attempts to ban books in schools, this one has got to take the cake (not the one left out in the rain, however).

MattH - There was a cast album for Gone With The Wind in London - I had the gatefold LP - I don't think it's ever been issued on CD, though - don't know why.  I think it was on Polygram or some such label.

Thanks for the info. It makes sense that there was one at one time. I just couldn't find any information about it. All I knew was SCARLETT and an album recorded by Rome singing all the songs himself.

Honestly, singdaw, I was referring to George's "cunning linguist" crack, of course, with my innocent Babs as Dolly reference.  Leave it to you to read into things.

(I went back and adjusted my original post #188 accordingly.)

I am now very kempt and very blonde.  Teddy had a moment - but I like it.

What I do NOT like is this friggin' hurricane we're suddenly having.  The kind of wind that actually moves your car from side to side.  Ridiculous.  Huge branches are snapping like crackers and debris is everywhere.  Ridiculous and I want it to STOP NOW.

From "Memorable Quotes" on the imdb

Sullivan, ticket seller:  Where to, Dolly?

Dolly Levi:  Yonkers, New York, to handle a highly personal matter for Mr. Horace Vandergelder, the well-known, unmarried, half-a-millionaire.

Sullivan, ticket seller:  Gonna marry him yourself, Dolly?

Dolly Levi:  Why, Mr. Sullivan, whatever put such a preposterous idea into my head...er, your head!

I must say though i was a bit surprised with her brother's final decision. That was a lot of money he was offered!

I loved the episode and found the two of them having different visions of the same murder quite interesting.

You obviously don't remember from his two prior appearances, but Allison's brother Michael has shown abilities ever since he was introduced to us. The first year, he was back from the war having visions that kept his unit from being hit. They didn't know how he knew when to be safe, but he did. He tried to blot out his abilities with alcohol but it was only a temporary escape.

Last season he was involved in a superb episode with a girl he became very fond of who needed his help getting money out of a hotel room. We learned late in the episode that she was already dead, and he was responding to her spirit not realizing she wasn't really there.

The money offered was tempting for this episode, but I think the great feeling of accomplishment he got helping right certain wrongs was worth A LOT more. Looks like he will go back to LA and try to get on as a consultant with the police department.

Sounds exactly like what we had last night. Very scary.

Since lunch ran late today, I had time only for a few things. MEDIUM I just talked about. I also continued listening to the first running commentary on THE QUEEN DVD. I'll switch over to the second one when I go back down. That should lead me into tonight's prime time shows.

CSI: NY had three deaths to investigate: one with a guy dressed as a knight being lanced in Central Park, one a guy with an ice pick jammed into his brain stem in a posh NYC hotel, and a third guy whose "dead" body was stolen from the ambulance and later when the body is fished out of the Hudson, the guy is still alive. All interesting cases, the third being slightly far-fetched.
