Good morning, fellow Dear Readers. The drywall man called and is on his way. And then I need to get my blood drawn so that I can fail my blood test again.

Having been picketed by Mr. Phelps during a tour of Anything Goes...  All I can say is that if he and his family do show up at the funerals of victims...  Well, frankly, I'm speechless.   And sick to my stomach.

Well the site I referenced also says:

Not too long ago, whenever Pastor Fred showed up, also mysteriously some silent signal traveled overland amongst the righteous, and sister and brother bikers began showing up at the funerals of vets. The Harley brigades rolled. (There were some Gold Wings and other kinds of bikes too.)

Bikers formed long phalanxes with their bikes and accompanied the funeral corteges along the oil road, and stood at attention at graveside. When Pastor Fred got on his bullhorn, well, 200 Harleys at rev with big guys with moustaches and Viking braids and muscles, and women who look like they might simply snap you with their leathers and send you to the hospital… or heaven… well, Pastor Fred stood there on the hill, his mouth moving, but all you heard was that mellow growl of the Hogs.

For Virginia Tech, all the funerals and memorials are sacred events and the mourners deserve to mourn their dead in peace… sans Fred. And I think it likely that that silent signal has already gone out to some of the last Road Warriors of the Righteous on earth and they are already testing the tension on their chains.

Okefenokee Swamp Endangered

WAYCROSS, Ga. —  

A swift wildfire destroyed 14 houses Wednesday in southeastern Georgia, where more than 1,000 people had been forced from their homes earlier in the week, officials said. No injuries were reported.

The blaze, which had burned about 40 square miles, or 25,000 acres, ignited Monday near Waycross when a tree fell on a power line, then raced through tinder-dry forest to the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, one of the nation's best-preserved wetland areas, officials said.

Many of those evacuated from the area went to a shelter or moved in with relatives, officials said.

Classes at Waycross schools were canceled after buses were unable to run on some routes because of smoky conditions, and the private Okefenokee Swamp Park was evacuated and its animals moved to safety.

They picketed the show.  In fact, they picket almost any touring Broadway show on the basis that homosexuals were somehow involved in the creation and production of the show.

However, the locals heading into the theatre were so used to the protests, that they didn't bat an eye as they walked past the signs and the bullhorns.

The saddest part was seeing all the younger members of his "family" - the five to ten-year olds who were also part of the protest, holding up signs, yelling things at people.  And holding video cameras.  He uses all the footage to show how "America" continues to "embrace homosexuality" by their attendance at cultural events.  And if anyone "dares" to challenge him, then he uses that footage to show that "they" are the "true haters", not him and his followers.
