Well, I think I'm gonna go ahead and head to midtown.  The sun is out, I'm in the mood for a nice walk.

Not to downplay anyone's personal loss; however-

today the nation is mourning 32 lives extinguised in a senseless act of violence.

No mention is being made of the estimated 80 or more 16-20 year old kids killed in drunk-driving accidents so far this month!

Bretty, if you are looking for somewhat obscure musicals I highly recommend Salad Days by Julian Slade.

Salad Days! That sounds like a fitting title for my food intake the last 3 weeks!

I will definitely seek that one out, thanks.

One of my favorite OCRs happens to be "Once More With Feeling," the soundtrack to the Buffy the Vampire Slayer musical episode. Do we have any fans here?

And did anybody see the Scrubs musical episode this season? I assume that would've held some appeal, as it was written by the Avenue Q guy.

POTENTIAL "LOST" SPOILER...

And did you happen to notice the "language" tie-in between this episode and last season's finale?

I was wondering what language that copy of CATCH 22 was written in, but I didn't think about it until now.  Interesting.

My question is:  how did Penny know what to look for the electromagnetic blast that occurred when the hatch exploded?  If she knew it was going to happen ahead of time, Desmond must have slipped her the information somehow when he time jumped.  Or is there another trip for him to the past coming up next season?

A couple of made in Florida films: STING OF DEATH and THE CHECKERED FLAG.

Heh...I worked as an extra in the following made-in-Florida films: BODY HEAT, PORKY'S II, THE DOGS OF WAR and SPRING BREAK!

Clearly I had no nose for quality control!

Indeed, but we don't have the CD - we can just pop in the DVD a watch the episode.

Yes, the fins in canary yellow ARE a bit crass.  Ecru would have been more tasteful.

I was thinking more along the lines of the "salmon blush" paint on the walls.

HA! Based on your recommendation, I JUST put a bid on a sealed vinyl version of this on eBay!

I can transfer it to CD if you're interested. Tell me about the show; I've never heard of it.

And, yes, a CD would be a delight (I still haven't the wherewithal to move my LPs to CDs - shame 'cause I have a lot of arcane musicals that never made it to CD.

We were supposed to have some early pluie here in Oakland today....but the sun is burning through.  Still, more storms are reportedly "on the way" and will visit through the weekend.

It pluied...in buckets....overnight.

I have a lot of arcane musicals that never made it to CD.

Such as....?

For years I had an LP of an obscure show called Preppies, but never listened to it.

Ditto Upstairs at O'Neals, which featured Bebe Neuwirth.

And I'll wager I'm the only guy on my block with an LP copy of Rap Master Ronnie!
