I don't have a media watch for the weekend.

I am off to Key West for the very first time.

Wasn't there a discussion recently about THE ROBBER BRIDEGROOM being on CD?

Back from a few errands, have proofed a little, now must trek to Hollywood Sheet Music to pick up some Hollywood sheet music, and then on to the DGA for a French motion picture entertainment, after which I shall sup, after which I shall come home.

Baldwin is hilarious on that show, but evidently a despicable monster IRL!

Yes, he's a charming monster on 30 ROCK and a rather harried one in real life. I've read the news reports of his tirade to his daughter, but, honestly, there are two or three sides to all of these contested arrangements.

Well, it's Friday, and that means it's time to mop the kitchen floor. Argh! But then back to the den to finish that WILD WILD WEST episode, watching some Doris Day, and then tune in to RAINES.

TOD:
Tivo:  DEAD OF WINTER--scared the bejesus out of me when I saw it years ago--wonder if it still holds up.

I saw that it was on last night. That scared me too, and it was just the kind of lurid treat I enjoyed in my youth. Let me know if it holds up!

Didn't somebody reference Austin Pendleton here recently?

Yes.

HA! Based on your recommendation, I JUST put a bid on a sealed vinyl version of this on eBay!

I can transfer it to CD if you're interested. Tell me about the show; I've never heard of it.

Can I rudely jump in and say I would love a copy, too, DR Bretty? I like Austin Pendleton very much.

One of my favorite films of his is SIMON, with Alan Arkin. Wonder if that holds up?

Alrighty, time to get my parking space on the I-75 parking lot.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow, when Erica, the host of our gardening show, A GARDENER'S DIARY, will come visit our new garden and make recommendations. She's also bringing me a big gift certificate to her favorite nursery. She is returning the favor for me putting together a demo for her. I was happy to do it because she's a friend, so it was a very pleasant surprise that she wanted to show her gratitude.

I cut a VO demo for a friend's son last week (bk, you talked with him at our screening) and she showed up today to pick it up bearing a nice bottle of wine, a gift certificate to an upscale restaurant group and a thank you note.

So I feel quite rewarded today!

I'm feeling like treating myself to another viewing of "Meet Joe Black" this weekend.

It will be my first viewing on my plasma TV.

It's beautifully scored by Thomas Newman.
