I enjoyed it, but I wished that they had subtitles for the lyrics of the songs. The musical numbers got rather boring when I had no idea what the song was about. Other than that the movie itself was a trip, but I still liked MY BROTHER.... better.

Also, the Netflix disk was damaged, so there were three scenes in the middle that were almost unwatchable. Fortunately, I had done the play TEN LITTLE INDIANS, so I knew what I missed - except Miss Kitty singing in the surf.

The living room wall is painted, and I am waiting for the men to wake up and move the bookcases back in place. I also painted the bathroom ceiling.

Hmmmm.....I don't think I ever saw one! And cigarette television advertising has been banned in the US since the mid 1960's.

DR RLP watched SON OF FURY, but didn't mention the performances of the Misses Farmer, Tierney, and Lanchester.

Also featured was Kay Johnson who was married to the film's director John Cromwell....and they are the parents of actor James Cromwell...."that'll do, pig."

NOW...... If you had asked about Viscount Cigarettes, I coiuld have suggested a very snazzy commerciall from about 1968 .... and a bouncy theme it was too !!

The Stuyvesant theme had a background of international travel for the refined smoker! Almost "as the sun sinks slowly in the west, we say goodbye to ......" type music. Thanks for the thought.

And, Sugar and I just had the rather unexpected challenge of sitting in the back yard for the past 2 1/2 hours.... we had a very large power failure here in my part of the valley.

Of course, dear DR Laura lives over in the elegant and fashionable area of Scotsdale, and they simply don't tolerate power outages..... they aren't zoned for it.

But we have power back on now, so I'm going to watch my Sunday evening "guilty pleasures".... Housewives, and Brothers & Sisters.

And eat my yummy piece of Marie C's coconut cream pie. mmmmmmm.
