Lazy day here for me as well...well, the morning was busy as I worked in the yard...but now I be lazy!

In fact I am 'bout ready for a long nap...which Dog Bosco and Fred the cat are both doing as I type.

I will post photos of NYC soon....but I am still exhausted!

I am marinating chicken breasts to take to the cookout today, plus I made a white cake with white frosting, but I cannot find the red, white, and blue sprinkles I bought for it.

And I will also add that DR Jason looks fantastic! Of course I thought he looked fantastic upon my meeting him 2 years ago...but now he just lookes fantastic-er!

I just wish I had legs like his instead of my scrawny chicken legs.

And my two Broadway experiences were GREAT!!!!

Big thanks to DRs Elmore and Jose for arranging my attendance to both plays!

CURTAINS was everything I hoped a Broadway show would be...beautiful 1950s era costumes and hair styles...fun songs...and those dance numbers were right out of an MGM or Warner Bros musical! I wanted to be able to rewind and watch each number over again!!! And then getting to meet some of the cast afterwards was something I will always cherish!

AVENUE Q was a play I had never even considered seeing...but I am so glad I did...I never laughed so hard!! It really was a fun, fun time! It was both sweet and funny and if it ever goes on tour in Portland I think I might just like to see it again!

BK, how long have you known Jason Graae, and how did you meet?

Dear Reader Laura, how did you meet Jason Graae?

I met Jason in 1993 - can't remember who put us together, but I hired him on the first VS album - Unsung Sondheim, and we've been grand pals ever since.

I'm at my sister's house, waiting for our parents and aunt to show up.  Hope everyone is having (or has had) a great holiday!

We are watching 1776, and the messenger is just beginning "Mama, Look Sharp."
I remember the first time I saw that song title on the cast recording--I expected something else entirely.

JMK we found the The Stratford Hotel  in San Francisco very convenient.  It's right by Union Square. 242 Powell Street and it has parking.
The hotel is small and basic - but clean! Very much a tourist hotel and there were certainly tours groups booked in there. Public transport is very close by.

I'm not sure when the party starts at neighbors Tony and Bob's.  I'm remembering six, but I don't think that's right, and my cousins mentioned four.  Maybe I'll walk over there around four-thirty and see whassup.

No sign of any tornados here in Philly, but man, did it get humid!  And it's a cool humidity, too.  Blehh!

Oh, Freddy's a cat!

And, one presumes, a Tom.
A female puss would be "Freddie".
