I think I saw Brain's auditions listed as July 17.  I don't see Such Good Friends' auditions listed anywhere, and this makes me nervous.

The massive revisions continue apace.  And, it seems, I need to take a moment to say goodbye to a few songs:

That is horrible, Noel.  All those songs!  It sounds like singlehandedly you have enough material for BK to do a LOST IN NYMF CD.

The point is still the same, even more so wearing a kilt and a red cloth hanging from it.

Agreed!  You'd have to be crazy...

Ditto -- I know, Mz Karen is most unoriginal/being a copy-cat this morning.  I'm not a big fan of FS as an actor, but if forced to choose, my B/W picks would pretty much follow DR ELmo's ... I like some of his music, but out of the Rat Pack, I liked Dean Martin more...so I'd put down cash for Dino, Como, or Bing before Old Blue Eyes ...

Well, considering that they are all dead - save your money!

I'll finish WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION today and probably watch MURDER SHE WROTE and JESSE JAMES.

I'm supposed to be getting Criterion's LES ENFANTS TERRIBLES in the mail today, but I'm not counting on it arriving. My mail delivery is always very erratic after a mail holiday.

A male holiday.  That should be the name of something.

or lounge act, I mean fund-raiser ...I'd put some cash down for that ... hey, are you thinking what I'm thinking? ... Brain Share fund-raiser .....

Or if DR Cason was willing to strip for charity, we could probably raise enough money for THE BRAIN without ever going public.

Lundberg makes a variety of rice chips.  My favorites are the sesame & seaweed ones.  I do not like seaweed & was shocked how much I enjoy these. The sea salt are good with guacamole dip.  They make a very tasty barbecue chip as well.  We didn't care for the honey dijon ones.

Thank you! I wouldn't use the word "little," however. I'll never lose THAT much weight.   ::)

As for myself, there are a couple of things I need to take care of here at the apartment.  And then I just need to plan out my out-of-the-apartment errands for this afternoon so that I get them all done in transit and in time to meet up at John's Pizza.

Alas, with the heat today, I don't think a job or jog around the Reservoir would be advisable.

Well don't bring them back to the apartment!

And the word of the day is: DEMULCENT!
DEMULCENT was the oily sister of the evil fairy Maleficent, in the Disney animated feature Sleeping Beauty.  She was a little too oily for her own good, in fact - she slipped out of frame in every shot she was in, as a result never even making it to the cutting room floor.

I need to go read a book for my book club discussion tomorrow morning.  In my arrogance, figuring 2 days was more than enough, I didn't allow much time to read a 70 page book.  I didn't expect to fall asleep every time I begin reading the book.

SAFETY NOTES:

A. ALWAYS USE A CONDOM

B. STAY AWAY FROM ANGRY BULLS WHILE CLAD IN A KILT

July 9: A young calf gores a reveler in the bullring of Pamplona, northern Spain. The fiestas 'Los San Fermines' held since 1591 attract tens of thousands of foreign visitors each year for nine days of revelry, morning bull-runs and afternoon bullfights.

That photo apparently answers the question of what Scotsmen wear under their kilts. - I'm not deleting a post.

Just found out that Hollywood Blvd. is closed all day and night to midnight.  Why?  The Harry Potter premiere.  This closing off the boulevard has been happening more and more and is completely out of control now - the poor people who actually live in Hollywood are out of luck trying to go anywhere or get home without having to do major traffic ballet.
I never found Hollywood Blvd. a particularly efficient way of crossing town.  It has always been too bogged down with tourists gawping.  I remember getting off a bus once, to hoof it instead, and staying ahead of the bus until I reached my destination.  Regular drivers in the area know that it's more efficient to drive east-west on a street a block or two north or south of the Boulevard.

The sidewalks are cleaner a couple of blocks away, too.

IMHO it is crazy enough to run with the bulls, but to wear RED ::)
Bulls are colorblind.  It's the flapping of the cape that irritates them.  Well, that and being stabbed repeatedly during the bullfight.   :P

This explains a great deal, now that I think about it.

There's a special on Spielberg talking about himself about to air on the tube.

And I've got chicken breasts to roast (cilantro/lime flavoured).

I'm catching up on this weekend's posts (because I had no time for myself at ALL this weekend ;)), and first let me say, Great pictures, MBarnum and TCB!  I'm up to Page 7 on Saturday (Post #180 at 11:37:14 AM) so, if anyone has posted pictures after that, I haven't gotten to them yet. :)

I shall shortly be on my way to our big meeting (with attendance predicted between 2 and 200 - hope it's closer to the latter, but, you know, this is LA).

Then I shall sup with Cason and Heather.
