DR MusicGuy - When one door closes, another opens.  Literally, in your case.  ;)  -And I guess you'll soon be "opening a new window" too.  :)

Happy Birthday, Miss Karen!

May it be marvelously scandalous!

And when I got home, the UPS man came to the door with a package from Amazon.com waiting for one of my roommates.  -The new Harry Potter book!  The man in brown even said as I signed for it that he shouldn't be doing this, but since it got put on the truck a day early...  -The box even has "warnings" on it that Muggles should not open it until July 21.  Well...

-She's already read the first two chapters. :)

Rehearsal is over, and I've done errands, and I'm still not caught up - I shall now be on my way to the Hollywood Collector's Show for a brief visit, then to a meeting, then home.  I gotta tell you.  Monday is a DAY OFF!!!

DR elmore - And a conditional Congrats on the new lease and the new office.  It sounds like this real estate nightmare is coming to an end somehow or another.

Good afternoon, fellow Dear Readers.

DR MusicGuy  has promised I can see the "before" of the new place before he does a bit of fixing up. It sounds lovely.

I just had some breakfast cocoa and cereal with flour in it in Miss Karen's honor.  :)

-When I first read this, I had images of you sprinkling flour over your bowl of cereal (instead of sugar).  ;)

4.2

All shook up!

Rudely awakened and tossed.

Nothing fell.

Nothing broke.

Woke me up and scrambled my brains.

Had to pee.

Went right back to sleep!

Another day in Californ-eye-a!

What a relief that nothing happened to the HDTV!!!   ;D

Seriously, glad to read that you're OK.

TOD Media Report -

Book - The Zen of Fish, by Trevor Corson.  (If you want to read an excerpt, here's a link to "How to Eat Sushi.")

CD Player - What's a Brayne and Wenda?, a live cabaret recording from the Rose Tattoo, starring Wayne Moore and Brenda Silas Moore.(Includes the aforementioned (a couple of days ago) "Brassieres/Jock Straps")

Where are the photos of the children, DR Jose????

Well.. Once I hook up my camera to my card reader - which I left here in NYC - I shall post the pics.  Alas, it turns out that I only took about four or five pics of Emily.  My brother, Mike, was snapping a bunch of other photos with his camera, and I also took some with his camera too. So, it may take a few days for the "full display".  Mea culpa.

Jason, short flights often don’t serve snacks anymore, longer ones charge your for small meals/large snacks.  Whenever possible I pack a sandwich & snacks to take with me.  If not possible, I try to buy something at the airport (not always possible).

On flights where we were delayed after boarding, the extra supply of snacks were brought out & passed around.  Did you ask?  Sometimes if I mention I don’t feel well & just need some pretzels, some can be found.  Pretzels are no longer the standard snack, there are cookies, chips & other strange goodies.

And I would complain about the toilet, rude flight attendant & the lack of a snack under the circumstances.  Even if it doesn’t get you anything, an official complaint should be made

I began my afternoon viewing with another MOONLIGHTING episode. In this one, David and Maddie are implored by a leprechaun to help her save her pot of gold from someone who's trying to claim it. A charming bit o' the blarney and a lovely episode. One of the best I've seen for season 2.

Dear DR Ron:

Next I watched the 1961 movie version of FANNY. I had never seen it, and it's a lovely film (maybe a bit too long). Now, I'll need to listen to my cast album of FANNY to hear the songs that were omitted from the film.

I met with my web site designer this morning.   His office is in the building and he's done some great sites.  He hasn't done a lawyers site before so he's really excited about it. Plus because he's in the building I get a discount.

I ended the afternoon with another viewing of the 1929 RIO RITA. I waited for so long to get this movie, and I've only watched it once since I burned a DVD-R off TCM some months ago, so I watched the first 40 minutes of it to conclude the afternoon's viewing. I'll finish it when I go back downstairs later.

DR MusicGuy- Good closing vibes!  Will there be a photo of your “patio” home?  Is that the same as a town-house?  Do you have a yard, and/or a patio?  I hope there will be photos to share.

DR elmore-Good news on the lease &
