Of course, it's hard to do that when everyone is WUSSBURGERING!
Sorry I wasn't around last night. It wasn't a good day. First, I went to the Seattle Storm women's basketball game with my sister. It was an exciting game...very close...and the lost by four, count 'em FOUR points.

But a loss is a loss.
But worse than that is that my best friend and co-worker Margo was fired...actually, the official announcement says that her "position was eliminated." Yeah, right.

Her supervisor is the HR manager and from the moment he was hired (only a little over a year ago...she's been here for more than 17 years!), he basically treated her like crap. To those of us who've supported her through all this, the eliminated position announcement is a big joke. It also said that she is free to apply for any future position in the library district for which she is qualified, but last night
before they had the official meeting to tell her all of this, her e-mail AND phone access were cut off AND at the meeting (at 5:00 pm on the last working day of the month), she was told that she was not allowed to ever come back into the building! What kind of crap is that?? She pretty much knew that it was probably going to happen, but when it actually did, it was still a shock. She's one of the nicest, sweetest people you could ever meet. She is truly my best friend. Now, she has no job and two kids under the age of 12. Her sister and brother have also been VERY supportive (financially, also), but still, any and all vibes, xylophones and marimbas for Margo will be greatly appreciated!
And of course, today wasn't a day in the park, either. But, as my former supervisor used to day, "And this too shall pass.'' It's just hell while you're going through it.
