A possible song to be played at my funeral DR FJL.  ("Send in The Clowns" is so last decade).

Funniest song I have provided a cd of for a funeral: "Oh Lord It's Hard To be Humble" (Mac Davis)

My singing partner wants me to sing Tom Waits' "Shiver Me Timbers" at her funeral. . . .

The four times I've seen Betty Buckley in concert, she rarely closed her eyes while singing; she made mucho eye contact, especially in the intimate surroundings (Benedum Center Stage, The Bottom Line).

DR Jane - So... Any thoughts on just how did you what you did to your foot?  And does this mean you'll have to curtail your hiking for a bit?

I figured that last bit to be a given.  With her hand out of commission, she would likely not be able to grab onto something to lift a branch or breech a hill, or hold two leashes.

But, she's a determined girl...so anything is possible, I suppose.

If I remember correctly, on Betty's DVD, she keeps her eyes open a lot...not always, but mostly.

;)

Maybe it's just my copy of the DVD that has the closed eyes.  LOL
I also find it a tad annoying seeing artists read their lyrics. (The camera can be so cruel). The wonderful Jane Olivor and Mr Bryn Terfel's DVDs are examples.

For the Michael Ball fans - his performance at the "Proms" is wonderful. (Shown on BBC).

lol ron.  this is the same injury from two months ago when i wasn't paying attention, AGAIN, and didn't leave room for sherlock to get around me on the narrow trail.  instead he went right through my foot & down i went.

jose i should curtail my hiking, and really did for awhile, obviosly not enough.   i thought it was almost better and returned to my full regime-BIG MISTAKE.  the doctor said to take it easy, oh so hard.  i need to exercise for my mental and physical health.

i don't want to miss hiking, even short ones, during the last nice weather before winter arrives.  i'll aim for shorter, flatters places to go.

No, I didn't take a photo. LOL. But with clumping litter all you would see is litter clumps. That's why I love it.

On my list of why I never wanted another dog were all the previous injuries I have from past dogs.  These with Sherlock really were completely due to my carelessness.

Perhaps we need Ella Fitzgerald and Mel Tormé singing a scat duet.

Callie has been hanging out in the livingroom and acting almost like her good old self.  I think the antibiotics are really helping. I don't know if I mentioned it, but I did talk to the new vet.  She agreed that this is a good time to work on a dietary solution and told me about a medication that would be the next step if we need a little help.   I got a copy of the file and the x-rays back from them, so my options are still open.

Funniest song I have provided a cd of for a funeral: "Oh Lord It's Hard To be Humble" (Mac Davis)

Oddest choice of song I ever heard at a funeral: "My Dog Thinks I'm Elvis."

At DP Colin's brother's funeral his children chose music by the Smashing Pumpkins and Steve Earle's Copperhead Road.
