TOD:  well I can't say it was a favorite of mine, since I, along with 95% of America, never saw it, but I have always been inordinately interested in the one episode flopperoo that was supposed to be ABC's answer to Laugh-In, circa 1969 or 1970.  It starred Tim Conway and was called Turn On, and there was such an uproar before it aired (due, IIRC, to the word "sex" being scrolled across the screen--ah, how times have changed, Virginia), that most of the nation (including Seattle, where I was at the time) pre-empted it.

Today's MSN headline:

New England braces for remnants of Noel

He certainly get around, though that "remnants" remark worries me a bit.

It's the leftover bits and pieces of his hand, I guess.

I guess it was Noel (the storm, not the DR) that was stirring up the wind around here yesterday and this morning.  Things are a little quieter now, but it's definately not summer any more!

Well, since we're waiting for some other staff to get here...

Well, I guess the current cooler and cloudy weather here in NYC is due to the remnants of Hurricane Noel - since it's definitely much cooler and cloudy today.  And rain is also forecasted for later today too.  However, tomorrow is supposed to warm a little bit, and it should be good running weather for the marathon.

Isn't that strange that we have all brought up different "flop" shows.  I guess that is why they were all flops.

It was supposed to be in the 60s today but instead is cloudy windy and low 50s.  Much colder than I thought it was going to be. I did take in all the outside furniture and did a few fix it jobs. I was trying to fix the outside faucet, but I just can't get it, so I'm going to call the plumber on Monday.

I don't have much energy today.   I returned some clothes I ordered through the catalog at Coldwater Creek - they were too big.  Anyway, I had made my mind up I wasn't going to buy anything....but...well there was this jacket and it was really cool....and I can wear it to work....and it was $30 off....

If I can muster the energy, I'm going to put all the screens back in the gazebo.  I wanted to paint them, but I can do that in the spring.  I need to see if I have the plastic and supplies to cover the screens and winterize the gazebo.   If so, I think I'll do that tomorrow.

If I can't muste the energy I'll either watch God Grew Tired of Us or The Wind that Shakes the Barley.

I think I am feeling well enough to venture out to The Dollar Tree for more cleaning supplies.

While I am there, maybe I will buy a new wardrobe.

Must now watch HIGH SCHOOL CONFIDENTIAL and GHOST OF DRAGSTRIP HOLLOW, due to an interview I am doing this week.

I will likely take a nap before, after, or during the movies.
