TOD:
I never bought '45s, and really shouldn't have bought too many albums (didn't start buying my own music till around 1991), but having too many great used music stores near me back in the day meant that the record collection is just a wee bit overflowing. Loved listening to Golden Books on records as a tot, though... does that count?
Some songs that make me laugh: "10,432 Sheep," "Adelaide's Lament," anything by Tom Lehrer, Allen Sherman, Victor Borge, or Anna Russell.
Some songs that make me smile: "Cherish" by Madonna (I didn't just admit that, did I?), every single friggin' song in "She Loves Me"
Some songs that make me weep: "Mr. Tanner" by Harry Chapin, "Send in the Clowns," "Yerushalayim" by Abie Rottenberg (composer for an Orthodox Jewish group called Journeys, not to be confused with the "Don't Stop Believing" group), "Mama, Look Sharp," "Bring Him Home" (Dudu Fisher on the original Israeli Les Mis cast recording) .
