Back from a lovely late breakfast with Miss Linda Purl.  We had a wonderful time catching up and I'm thinking we have a new idea for a duo act that we'll start working on in January.

With about 20 minutes left in my viewing afternoon, I put in an old standby that I never tire of watching and don't mind stopping in mid-story - DR. NO. I really do love the new Ultimate Edition remasters at least on DR. NO.

When I go back down, it'll be a Blu-ray evening. I have a stack of discs that came in while I was super busy and couldn't watch anything, so I'll be picking from those all weekend.

I guess DR springshawl left in a huff...or at least an automobile.  I hope he didn't forget to don his gay apparel.

As funerals go, this was nice and simple. Lots of music, enough religion and my friend Sally gave the eulogy. She's a professional writer so it was absolutely the most beautiful tribute, without mytholigizing her sister. It was a very compassionate, heartfelt message, and then she read a poem and the husband also read some poetry. This was all so sudden that everyone was still in shock. It was also emotional for the old girlfriend who had been so close to the family and is trying to be supportive but broke down thinking about how close she was to my friend's niece and wanting to be there for her. Maybe it will all work out.

I saw a lot of old friends there and we plan to take our friend out once things calm down.

DR George:

***MAJOR OPENING-NIGHT VIBAGE***
and BREAK A LEG!!!

Even though it explains in that article you posted, I really can't figure the minds that schedule things like your show and the new film of Sweeney Todd as holiday fare!!!   :-\

THANK YOU!!  And about that holiday fare thing, Pug, our director has specified in the past, "alternative holiday fare"...that there is just so much sugary-sweetness during this time of year, that "Nite" is something different.  Ain't it the truth? :D

Thank you, DRs Matt H and RonPulliam! I look forward to seeing the episodes and I appreciate your kindness.

DR edisaurus, it sounds like a simple and moving ceremony.  I, of course, want the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, DR Slingshaw dressed as an elf singing my favorite songs, the Rockettes, and a million of my closest chums in attendance wailing like mad, to be followed with my ashes thrown in Lady macbeth's face.

I think you should have your ashes mixed in with her sugar bowl, so that each morning as she has her morning cup of java...

I just got off the phone with one of my professional friends at Victoria Theatre Association and not only will she get me into a performance of DR Jason's A Christmas Carol, she invited me to attend the sponsors' brunch afterward.  That makes it a work-related event, which I can do on library time!

That's right, work the system!  Great news that you can get paid to see Jason in a show! ;)

We had a pretty good preview last night, although they had just repainted and sealed the floor (they use both the proscenium stage and the actual floor of the theater, with the audience seated on 3 sides), so four (count 'em) people slipped and fell, including Miss Oregon 2007, who took a rather nasty spill during the waltz scene.  Like George, we officially open tonight.

Break Many Legs (but not literally), JMK!!!

DR George, that link to the zombie play was fun! Thanks for posting that, and all the best for a successful opening tonight....and for JMK's Cinderella show, too!

Glad you liked it!  As frustrating as the process has been (not having sheet music, etc.), the people have all been a lot of fun and have made it worth doing. ;D

DR Jeanne - I'd have to say that if I have a bunch of things to clear off the DVR, "Brothers & Sisters" is always my first priority.  True Must-See-TV.

This is a show that I've come to really like, but for the first few episodes at the beginning of the series, I just couldn't get into it, so I didn't watch it at all.  It wasn't until it got near the end of the first season that I tried it again and then I really liked it.  I don't know what I missed, but I'm not too concerned about catching up.

I watched Kathy Griffin's comedy show as I fixed and ate lunch today. Hilarious and also frustrating since I'm sure it was edited for length. She'd only be getting started on a topic, a commercial would interrupt, and she'd switch to another topic when the show resumed. I'm sure she had PLENTY of material to go with the former pre-commercial topic for another five or ten minutes. Oh, well, it was free! Really funny.

I watched the first 10 minutes or so of this, this morning.  She is hysterical!  I LOVED what I saw, but I agree about the editing. :P I say to that.

Today the book room, tomorrow the dining room.  Then the kitchen (yes, there are piles of junk in there, too), then the living room, then the den.
