Which Presidential candidate said his current car is a Chrysler 300C, full size sport luxury sedan?

Which Presidential candidate hates carrots so much he banned them from the governor's mansion just because he could?

He may have gotten a chuckle with that, but it really wasn't nice, if in reality it was done.

That would be Gov. Huckabee - the other man from Hope, Arkansas

Which candidate said his most prized possession is his "trophy wife"?

But Sen Kerry wasn't there!

DR Dakota, thank you for posting the obituary.  It sounds like you father was very loved and lived a good life. Hope you can find some comfort in that.

And now I'm back at my brother Mike's house waiting for my brother Jay to arrive.  Hopefully, my brother, Don, has already picked Jay up at Dulles and in en route.  Once he's here, we're going to have a photo-op since all four boys will be here.  The my parents and I will be heading back down to Richmond, and Jay will be heading over to Don's house before driving up to Philly in the morning.

At least that's the plan for now.

Well, he is regularly teased about the trophy wife.

Dakota, thank you for sharing your father's obituary.  Your parents were married a long time, but not long enough.  My heart goes out to your mother, you and your family.

Somebody here got me over to youtube, and now I can't stop!

There's the clip of Dorothy Loudon doing "Vodka" on the Tony Awards show, but, there's, alas, no URL for it. . . :'(

What do you mean "no URL for it"??

No packages for me today - two are now overtly overdue and I'm not happy about it.  Have written both people e-mails.  However, I'm quite certain that one of them is at the mail place, lost - you remember I got a slip that said there were TWO envelope-sized packages for me, but they only had one.  They either don't want to admit their mistake, or they've misplaced it, because there's no way this thing would take twenty-two days to get here via overseas first class e-mail.  The other things that were shipped from overseas at exactly the same time got here two weeks ago.

Bruce, I just received a package from Canada today, a Christmas present. It was mailed on Dec 6! I usually receive Canadian parcels in 10 days to 2 weeks. It's been a full three weeks. I don't know if delivery was just slow or the problem was at customs. (We have many problems at customs.)

Well, yes and no.  The original pacakge is still "pending delivery," and I've given up on that.  However, after a few very strong emails and phone calls [I'm learning from bk! :) ], they solved it by shipping a replacement package by a more reliable method.  And that package has been received.

Well, I hope that your new package is just as good as what you were expecting.

bk, is your spaghetti sauce recipe a variation of something that you learned from your father?

Or someone that worked in the kitchen for your father?

One has the impression from the Kritzer books that young BK only ate shrimp cocktails.
