I'm off to see THE WATER HORSE.  I had a lovely time down at Toyland and I photocopied the reference materials I need.

My neighbors have been cooking up a storm: yesterday, I could smell the most wonderful turkey baking and right now the building smells like roast beef.

They're not named Todd and Lovett, are they?

Yes, I forgot to mention Mr. O'Herlihy, who was a wonderful actor.  He was in several of the Twin Peaks episodes, too.  I know who Druxie is, but I'll let him tell you, should he come back little sheba.

I got up at nine, turned on the computer (the computer was feeling a little randy this morning), and then went back to bed and slept another hour.  Go know.

And the word of the day is:  ARMILLARY!

This sounds like something that goes with the VCRiLarry.

But on a happy note:

:)
A favorite musical of der B's and myself.

Although he can't seem to get Mandy's vocals out of his head, and didn't care as much for the London cast recording because of that.  Myself, I thought Daniel Evans did a fine job.

Outside the sky is blue.  Inside the ceiling is beige.  Is that a haiku?

I hope it's warmer outside than it is inside.

Following the discussion over at ATC with some interest.

Is it possible to render a stage musical successfully on film [admitedly, a completely different - and more realistic - medium] without using some sort of "gimmick" to explain away the singing?

I wonder...

Happy New Year's Eve day!

I don't think I will get a chance to post again today.

Last night I unexpectedly went to go see the movie ENCHANTED, which i liked very much.  But because of that i have not gotten to see last night's TAR yet (which is unusual for me since it's my favorite show).  Now i am over at my sister's house, and i will be spending the night. But i need to go play some game with her 7 yr old nephew who is calling me!

I just gave out a five-dollar bill that said ''Eat your vegetables'' on it.
Written by hand on a pre-existing bill, or in place of "In God We Trust"?

DR George,

I did not enjoy EVERYONE SAYS I LOVE YOU very much. I'm glad Woody tried a musical, but using old numbers instead of songs written specifically for the film limited it in appeal as many of his actors weren't very good singers, so the standards they sung fell very flat.

I believe Drew Barrymore did NOT do her own singing. In fact, as I recall, she DEMANDED a voice double or she refused to do the movie.

Yikes!  I hadn't heard that.  Thanks for the info.

The sun is out - the sky is blue.  I think I will go out for a walk.

Why does that make me think of an episode of Brady Bunch
