Oh, and to get to DR Jennifer's question regarding THE AMAZING RACE.....

For the record, I loved Kynt and Vixen, and was sorry to see them leave last week. They played very strong and very well, plus I just liked them.

TK and Rachel are the most level headed of the remaining teams and are now my #1s to win. They keep calm, which is very smart thing to do in a a game like this.

Nathan and Jennifer have long been on the bottom of my list. Jennifer gives up too easily, every time something does not go her way. And they simply are not playing as a team...there is no teamwork there.

Ronald and Christina: They would be a good, strong team if Ronald would back off and let his daughter do things. His constant criticism is very a bad for their game...but Rama bless her, Christina puts up with it and keeps on going. She is very impressive, and if that was not her dad she would probably have pushed him over a cliff by now.

Nicolas and Donald: Eh. :P

I do miss Lorena and Jason, they had been my other favorites.

As for which teams are competitive, they are all very competitive...or they would not even be there. Youth and physical strength are not the only way to make a good team and win, calmness, stamina, creativness, and working well with others are all essential in this kind of a game.

and I actually do have to give it to Donald...for a 70 year old guy..well, he is better then a lot of them youngins.

It finally started raining about two hours ago.  I had TIVOd a movie and so I watched that.  I now have to read the latest version of act one of the musical I'm mentoring, to make sure all the changes I asked for have been made.

Tonight, following DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, I watched the CBS television version of APPLAUSE featuring Lauren Bacall.
Was that really Larry Hagman's singing voice, or was he dubbed?
Penny Fuller was tremendous.
Bonnie Franklin and Lee Roy Reams were absent, but, Harvey Evans was cute as a button in the Reams role.
Lauren Bacall WAS Margot.  Brilliantly.

In my previously mentioned Christmas package, I also received some cds:

BETTY BUCKLEY in SONG & DANCE
Patti LuPone LIVE AT THE SAVOY
Leslie Kritzner is PATTI LUPONE LIVE AT LES MOUCHES

as well as (finally) cds of:
CARRIE (with Miss Buckley)
SMILE

I've only listened to SONG & DANCE, so far. . .Betty Lynne is amazing.

Carrie must be the flavour of January.  My DVD of the London show arrived,  unexpectedly, on Friday.

I know I cant sing anymore due to my hearing loss and I know better than to even attempt but I know my timing is better than some of the so-called singers that were trying out ....

I'm so way out of popular music culture - I was introduced to the songs of Lily Allen today.  I smiled a lot.

I wouldn't know if my pitch was any where near the mark. My Baseball would be just as bad!
I had to sight read (sing) for a music exam when I was about 16. I received marks for naming the notes correctly - not for singing any of them.

How did you tell the boy notes from the girl notes?

Didn't get to PIGSKIN PARADE, but maybe I will when my buddy James and I watch DREAM GIRLS (which I forgot to take with me last week when we were supposed to watch it at his house)...we can have a double feature.
