Well, I know his manager, so I'll see if "Birkeland" is in his repertoire.

In the meantime, maybe you can find your answer HERE.

That was one of the most poorly written biographies I have ever red (for derBrucer and Jose).  However, I am now considering taking classes next summer at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo.

I will say, I do like the "expediency" of tonight's presentation, but I do feel a bit sorry for the first-time nominees who were not able to experience their first Golden Globes ceremony.

And this may be exactly what we get for The Oscars, as well.

This has been a tired-butt weekend.  It followed a kick-ass week that saw me dragging my tired butt home Friday e'en and I have been recuperating ever since.

While being a tired-butt, I have been clearing my DVR cache of various/sundried "Maisie" films recorded over Thanksgiving!!!

I hope tomorrow will see me reinvigorated, or it will be one tired-butt week, for sure!

Bruce:  Now that you know those reset buttons exist, I hope you won't be reluctant to check them out the next time something goes awry with the electrical.

Well, it's definitely more of a "program bio" rather than a "biography".

TCB it is a shame you don't have a DVD.  I bet the direction was terrific.  I wish elmore and I could have seen it.

Has a weekend of rest helped you to feel better?

Thank you Jane.  Actually on of the reviewers described my direction as "brilliant" (I like that reviewer).

Actually the weekend has helped.

Sunday evening greetings from Nashotah House in Delafield, Wisconsin!  DH Richard and I had a 9-hour drive up here - the only bad weather we encountered was that rain/snow mix around Indianapolis that DR JRand mentioned.  We got to the Milwaukee about 10 minutes before Richard's classmate from Florida landed, waited in the cell phone parking area, picked him up and got here in time for the seminarians to attend mass.

For dinner we went to a local brew pub, where the Green Bay fans were watching the New York/Dallas game and were thrilled that New York won.  That means that the playoff game will be in Green Bay.

It is beautiful here, some snow on the ground but the roads are clear.

How did I miss that morsel of information in that crappy bio?  No, don't bother, I probably couldn't afford the ticket to the concert anyway.

We are housed in the Lambeth West apartment, so named because it's where a former Archbishop of Canturbury stayed when he visited here.

I saw this at the Met last weekend and really enjoyed it. Hope you enjoyed it.

Thanks!  I did. :) There were only about 16 people in the theater, and one was a fellow usher, so there was one person that I knew.  Otherwise, it was very good.  Not only were they great singers, but good actors, as well.  That's always nice.  I don't know if I'll go see every showing, but there are at least a couple that I want to see.

Glad I could help. :)

After I got home from watching the Metropolitan Opera High Def movie broadcast of "Macbeth," I watched "Grey's Anatomy" and "Big Shots."  I also taped them onto VHS for a friend, and after cutting out the commercials, the time of the two episodes totaled one hour and 24 minutes!! :o That's 18 minutes of commercials per hour!!!!  What is this world coming to? :P

You walk (over to Petrossian from the Edison), therefore you eat (a croissant).

*And, remember, get your coffee at the Starbucks of Le Pain Quotidien across the street.  ;)

Oh no, they have Le Pain Quotidien there, too? I love the one in LA!

I'd better do LOTS of walking!

I began my evening watching THE GAME PLAN on Blu-ray disc. Stunning transfer, innocuous trifle of a movie, and I despise that they made the eight year old girl so calculating. The child actress was supremely untalented, I thought.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson does definitely have charisma on screen, and he wasn't embarrassed to do some very silly stuff during the movie. (Of course, didn't he play gay in BE COOL a few years ago, too? Seems like he's up for anything to have a movie career. Good for him.)

There are more special features on the disc than I expected there to be. I'll be working on them all afternoon and up till 9 p.m. tomorrow night, I expect.

Next I watched the NBC version of the Golden Globes. Quite a few surprise wins there in both the movie and TV categories, but I was happy for MAD MEN, Jon Hamm, Glenn Close in the Tv categories. Was surprised by the support for CALIFORNICATION, but the Globes awarded NIP/TUCK and Julian McMahon years ago, too, when the show couldn't get arrested at the Emmys.

Emblematic of the importance of the awards: on the NBC show, the best song and best screenplay winners weren't even mentioned on the broadcast.

I didn't know the accordion could make such sweet music.

Rodger also played accordion on our INTERNATIONALE and SACCO AND VAZNETTI films, and was the only male member (that sounds unseemly!) of Cowboy Envy, one of our favorite local groups. Picture The Andrews Sisters crossed with the Sons of the Pioneers.

He had a bumper sticker on his accordion case (for his swanky red Italian one):
"Play an accordion, go to jail." (I think it's a take-off on an old anti-drug ad.)

I told my husband I was unable to find a mirror I liked at the antique market. He replied "Don't worry, that's no reflection on you."
