Good evening!

I had to work today but it was cut short when a snowstorm rolled in. I am now spending the rest of the weekend working on a pro bono piece about child safety. I had volunteered to do this when I didn't have any work. Now I've had to turn down 3 days of work at overtime pay to work on this. Oh well...I am very tired from my experience as a preditor, so although I could use the cash, it's kind of a relief to turn down the work.

The good part of the TLC job was that 2 of the 3 pieces were ones I originated and TLC liked them so much that they are clearing the songs I used and putting them on air, even though they are 2 minutes long. I am very happy to have been responsible for some worthy indie musicians to get a nice surprise paycheck! And we got a nice email from the network head about seeing them on the air and how much she loved them.

The Nanny
Days of Our Lives

He also won and an emmy for doing voice work on a children's chow.

He is a talented actor.... and cute to boot!

and a clip from his work on DOOL. He played Shane Donovan. His character was paired with Kimberly Brady (Patsy Pease)

This clip is from 1984

Everyone is sick at the place I was working, too, and I've been battling something the last few days. I think it must be allergies---at least I hope so. I think that place is a big germ factory. It's right next to a day care place so I'm trying to remember to wash my hands after touching doorknobs already touched by dozens of kids and parents.

I've also been wroking on Closer stuff. There will be a Season 2 marathon on Superbowl Sunday---12 hours straight of THE CLOSER, but skipping what I thought were the 3 best episodes! (I guess they've already run them a lot.)

Interestingly, at least four actors went on from Search for Tomorrow to Days of our Lives:

Matthew Ashford
Patsy Pease
John Aniston (Jennifer's dad)
Rod Arrants

Those are the ones I know of off hand.....

Jane Krakowski, one of her first telly roles was on SFT....

TOD:  GWTW (of course) and "Ship of Fools," " Streetcar for Miss Leigh

I'm trying to scan photos, and my computer keeps crashing-- very frustrating indeed.

I've also sent many deep e-mails to friends and have gotten no responses-- I hate that.

For Mr. Olivier: I adore "A Little Romance."

For Mr. Welles, his genius cannot be denied in "Citizen Kane."   Yes there are others of his that are brilliant, but this was the real thing.

td---THE INN OF THE SIXTH HAPPINESS was filmed at the town I mentioned a few days ago, Portmeirion, where they filmed THE PRISONER. There is a buddha there that was used in the film.

Awaiting me in my email was a small conference planning fire that I've just put out (or at least subdued for the moment).

I'm going to bed - in our queen-size TempurPedic, which is very appealing after a week of sleeping in a broken-down standard double.

'night!
