About four weeks ago, a pretty kitty with a flea color started hanging out in my backyard. No other collar, and she was very timid if approached. When Miss Blue Moon came in, she would come up to the door to get her dish of kitty food. Now and then she would be there when I looked out at night. I think she slept on the back porch. I picked her up once and noticed she had been de-clawed, so somewhere along the line, she was someone's pet.Kept looking in the paper and for flyers in case her owner was searching for her. Miss Blue Moon did NOT like another mammal getting any attention.I named her Stache since she had a nice little moustache marking on her upper cat lip.
My DH just arrived home from doing a concert in his hometown of Fairmont, MN last night. The mayor presented him with the key to the city! Which conveniently doubles as a bottle opener.
Did he have any trouble getting home? I think they are about in line for the blizzard today
DR JRand57 - are they going to retain the name you gave the kitty?
One of our rescues from years ago was a sweet tame cat that somehow found her way to a feral colony. She loved to ride in a car -- just purred like mad. She was adopted by a retired couple with an RV. A perfect match.
DR JRand, your story of stache reminds me a lot of my early days of Boo. She has claws, but I worried a lot about her until I brought her in. She, too, sat in the carrier and purred and purred
Wow...yes DR TCB...I can't believe that the Oscar Awards are ONE WEEK from tonight! WOW!
