DR JRand57 - A de-clawed cat should not be left on their own outside.  Was it just the front paws, or all four?

About four weeks ago, a pretty kitty with a flea color started hanging out in my backyard.

No other collar, and she was very timid if approached.  When Miss Blue Moon came in, she would come up to the door to get her dish of kitty food.

Now and then she would be there when I looked out at night.  I think she slept on the back porch.  I picked her up once and noticed she had been de-clawed, so somewhere along the line, she was someone's pet.

Kept looking in the paper and for flyers in case her owner was searching for her.  Miss Blue Moon did NOT like another mammal getting any attention.

I named her Stache since she had a nice little moustache marking on her upper cat lip.

How horrible that someone would abandon a declawed kitty.  There is no excuse for that.  It can usually be a death sentence for a kitten.

When I adopted Czar Nicholas from the pound, he had been found abandoned and he was declawed.

Awww. Lucky Stache, to have found you. Can you pick her up and put her in a carrier? She may have a microchip. A vet should be able to find it if she has one.

Oh - I see that Stache's story may have a happy ending after all!   :)

After being inside for about an hour, she was making herself comfortable on the towel inside the carrier and purring and purring.

Sue and Will picked her up about 11 a.m.

Today Sue brought the carrier back and said Stache is wonderful.  She walks around the house.  She is litter box trained.  Her favorite thing to do is sit on a lap for as long as the lap will let her.

I am so happy that she has found a good home.  The End.

Of course, nowdays, Nicky could just sit on any dog that gave him trouble.

You posted the Stache in the carrier photo while I was typing my post.

I'm glad you have a home for her. She's lucky

My DH just arrived home from doing a concert in his hometown of Fairmont, MN last night.  The mayor presented him with the key to the city!  Which conveniently doubles as a bottle opener.

Did he have any trouble getting home?  I think they are about in line for the blizzard today

I was afraid for her, too....but she seemed to stick close to the yard, and no other animals roam there except for YOU KNOW WHO.  And once I found out she was spending most of her time on the enclosed back porch, I thought she would be okay.

Front claws only.....still has the back.

DR JRand57 - are they going to retain the name you gave the kitty?  ;)

And when I told Miss Blue Moon that she wouldn't have to worry about any other animal getting her head pats, she was pleased.

One of our rescues from years ago was a sweet tame cat that somehow found her way to a feral colony. She loved to ride in a car -- just purred like mad. She was adopted by a retired couple with an RV. A perfect match.

I think they were delayed about an hour leaving the Twin Cities, but otherwise no troubles.

No......I think they are going to name her Bosco (a name we are familiar with here at HHW) because of her chocolate milk moustache look.

I am sorry for the family that had to give her up - not happy with how they did it - but happy for her and Will and Sue.  8)

I love a happy ending....just like in those TAMMY movies.  ;D

Singdaw, I took the chip out of the camera and put it in the computer. I'm pretty sure I was here on the sofa when I did so. I even removed the sofa cushions, just in case.

I hate this commercial, but the actress who delivers this line always makes me laugh:

Who are you calling a cootie queen, you lint licker?

So who looked best at the Hollywood Collector's show and who looked....well not the best?

Who had the longest line?  And who....well didn't?

MR BK what was your most popular selling item?  Which photo, which book?

Did you look under the sofa?  Does it have a string type of handle that a kitty may pull is somewhere?

DR JRand, your story of stache reminds me a lot of my early days of Boo.  She has claws, but I worried a lot about her until I brought her in. She, too, sat in the carrier and purred and purred

DR CILLA LIZ - I watched BB for the second time, and I didn't like it much either.  I guess because there is no one there that I really like.  Do they always use such obnoxious useless self-absorbed people?

And the format is very contrived.....such created drama.

Probably the first time in many days they felt safe and protected.  :)
