Do you want me to delete my post with the quote in it?

Glad you've spoken to Ron.

I don't see any reason to.  It's a phantom post.

my nephew is saddened today, a freind of his has passed away after battling AIDS for years. He was only 16. He acquired it from a transfusion.

Sorry to read about this.

How he acquired the disease is truly a non-issue, IMO.  It's like saying he didn't "deserve it" (as if anyone does)....at least, that's they way it comes off to me...AND I KNOW you didn't mean it that way.   But in many cases, that's exactly what folks  mean.

I watched a few more sections of the Company broadcast... As bk and others have stated, just way tooooooo many close-ups.  Yes, they did adjust some lighting and a few minor blocking issues for the tapings, but none of the actors were instructed to play to the cameras.  They were still playing to the full house, the audience in the theatre.  Totally different "feel", and to see all those close-ups, well, even I was getting a bit turned off - and I really like the production.  -The whole karate scene would have benefitted from a full stage shot so that you could see how the actors played off of each other even with all the distance between them.  And Raul definitely was not acting and singing for a close-up either.

Ben Lyons, an E! commentator, is kind of cute.  Apparently he's film critic Jeffrey Lyons's son.

I feel this issue of Spoilers, since I'm often on the firing line, has been drummed to death.  TV programs are like fish and guests: after three days  it ain't new. And if you're still in the dark, tough.

You go, Elmo!

And speaking of Mr Doyle and his dreadful COMPANY, his MAHAGONNY proved he didn't know how to direct that great piece, so of course Peter whatshisface would hire him for the Met.  I was invited to tomorrow's dress rehearsal of Mr Doyle's production of PETER GRIMES and I had to turn it down because of 43 cartons sitting here.

Okay, chums...it's off to other things now.  If I truly don't renege on my vow to stay out of harm's way during the Oscars, be kind.

I believe two things (well, I really believe many things):
  1. parents shouldn't have to bury their children
  2.  16 is way too young to die

I'm sorry, DR Dakota, for your nephew.

I had met his friend Tyler once and he was a character. :) He was not shy about sharing how got the disease. He was on a mission to teach. He was thankful for the freinds and life he had. He was also a merry prankster....

One person barred him once due to his illness and he fought back not meanly but to educate.

Of course, to be fair ro Mr Doyle about MAHAGONNY, the conductor didn't know the opera either, or he wouldn't have asked Lupone to sing Begbick.

Oscar indifference is rampant.  Even

George Clooney's Parents

won't be in attendance.

Then I guess we can count his Aunt Rosie out from attending, as well.

I thought I read that Joan was appearing on TV Guide's channel.  Whatever/Wherever that may be.

Several years ago, Joan left E! for the TV  GUIDE channel, but she was replaced there by Lisa Rinna last year. I'm not sure if anyone is doing it this year, but if so, it ISN'T Joan Rivers. She's been on talk shows complaining about not having a gig this year.

I am grateful for all this Spoiler discussion, because without it, we would probably still be on Page 2.
