Well, you've read the notes, the notes were award-winning, and now it is time for you to post until the Oscar cows come home.

bk: it's too bad you didn't stay around for more than 30 minutes of COMPANY - both the stage and TV direction go further downhill! We did finally get a fairly wide "establishing shot" - during a solo that called for a close up. And I'm sure you would have enjoyed Mr. Price's ear fetish - singers often shot in profile with the ear prominently displayed center screen.

Sadly, I will be at rehearsal today from about 3:30 until 6:30 pm.  I'm sure I'll get home by 6:45.  However, if the cast goes out to a restaurant next to the theater where we rehearse, I may go with them.  They did last night, but I went to my sister's house for a while.  We'll see if it actually happens.  Otherwise, I WILL be here as soon as possible after I get home. :)

"Company" is being recorded as I type.  I watched a bit of it.  I've never heard Bobby sung better (in performance) than by Dean Jones.  Esparza's voice seems forced/pushed.  He's a pleasant enough fellow, but what I saw of his Bobby wasn't very energetic.  Having never seen the show, perhaps that's the character?  An observer who sits around bemused by all and sundry?

Good morning, all! I have a long and convoluted day.  I could use travel vibes for goddaughter Charlotte's safe and speedy flight to New York as well as vibes that this Fed Ex shipment of 43 cartons happens smoothly tomorrow.  It's clearly rattling me as half of my sleep last night was about it.

The other half of my dreams was something bizarre about me, my mother and my father traveling to Europe to repair some construction damage caused by my brothers.  Luxembourg, I believe.  I recall something about a damaged weather vane, houses haf-buried in dirt, and my mother's getting locked inside a library.  And there were soldiers and bombings in it, too.  And my dad being really ill.  And a concert.  And a parade.  God knows what past life experiences I was channeling.

Last night I watched one of my Netflix films, AMONGST FRIENDS, a 1993 Long Island gangster wannabe film by the guy behind the series ENTOURAGE.  I liked it very much.

Thought for a Sunday morning:  Haagen Dazs green tea ice cream tastes like it's really good for you, but when you look at the dietary info, it actually is not that good for you.  (But it's not AS bad for you as, say, sticky toffee pudding ice cream.)

TEST.

I like the idea of doing the spoilers in yellow. It is totally unreadable. So if i remember i think i will try this.

But of course we have to put the spoiler not in yellow with the name of the show! :)

I'm just catching up on last night's posts.

So the yellow only works if you land on a white (and not blue) post? This could be a problem!

Sunday morning greetings!  As it's my one-day weekend, Richard excused me from church in Cincinnati today.  I really needed a morning with no alarm going off and no rush to get ready to go somewhere.  We do have to attend a memorial service this afternoon at our former church here in town.

Travel vibes for DR Elmore's goddaughter!

Travel and health vibes to all.  I'll probably see DR's Laurra and Sandra at church later today.  So far it looks cold and cloudy outside.

Toodles!

Good morning!

Oscar day here has started off overcast. It got up to 65 yesterday, but isn't supposed to leave the 50s today. Then back for more spring-type weather the next couple of days.

Wow----I was just watching Meet The Press and Ralph Nader announced that he was going to run for president!

This should be very interesting!

Oscar nights gone by . . . .

I can remember how excited I used to get on Oscar day. It used to be on Monday, and it was all I could do to concentrate at school in order to do the work because my mind was on who was going to carry home the prize.

The first Oscar broadcast I can ever remember watching all the way through was the night WEST SIDE STORY won so many awards. I wasn't really expecting a musical to win so big, and I just sat there with my jaw hitting the floor.

Of course, it was midnight or later when I'd go to bed with school the next day, so that was ALWAYS a problem. But, I did it from that year onward. The only year I didn't watch the Oscars "live" was the 1988 awards (presented in 1989) where my jaw again hit the floor when Kevin Kline won supporting actor and Geena Davis won supporting actress early on.

My partner and I were attending the national tour of 42nd STREET and got home an hour after the awards had started. I did videotape them so during the commercials, I'd speed through to the winner announcements.

This afternoon I'll finish the bonus features on CHARLIE CHAN AT TREASURE ISLAND and then start DAN IN REAL LIFE on Blu-ray. It's only 94 minutes long, so I should be able to comfortably watch it this afternoon.

Those of you who liked that new version of KNIGHT RIDER can be confident in expecting a new series next fall. The TV-movie did very well in the ratings last Sunday, so I'm sure NBC will move ahead with repurposing it to series status for the fall.
