Good morning, all! I've got a couple of hours with Toyland and environs, then lots of Patrick Cassidy work.
I'm very fond of the word of the day: I use it regulary in referring to Harold Sanford and Otto Langey, who were Victor Herbert's amanuenses for LADY OF THE SLIPPER and BABES IN TOYLAND. Mr Sanford took over the position when Mr Langey went to work for another music publisher. Both gentlemen were excellent orchestrators and arrangers and for years their work has been credited to Herbert alone.

THE RAINMAKER (I wish I liked both Lancaster and Hepburn better in this; it's the rest of the cast that outshines them)
