Wait until July, DR Ginny.

Well, next week it's supposed to be sunny and in the upper 50's.

Today a major snowstorm, and tomorrow 50 degrees?

I liked Maguire's novel Wicked also.

Count me in as a fan of Maguire's novel.

I've had quite an event-filled day!  A lovely lunch with Pamela Myers and Janet Watson, which was filled with lots of dish and laughs.  We met at the Key West Coffee Shop on Broadway at 94th, and Michael Feingold was sitting not far from us.  When he and his luncheon companion were leaving, he stopped and I introduced them to Pam and Janet.

After lunch, more errands, including more prescription refills from my doctor.  I also made an appointment for him to check me out for toxins and poisoning from all this damned pesticide.

I got a bit more bug cleaning this afternoon before I start some more work.

Lots - they eat me out of house and home!

(And if I try and leave the woodpecker suet cage out overnight, the racoons consume it!)

Fulfilling my worst fear, it started raining VERY hard once I got to the grocery store. No parking spaces close, so it was a walk in and out. About an hour after I got home, it stopped raining, and has remained stopped all afternoon. However, it's still dark and stormy looking and I'm sure we're in for some more rain - probably when we go out to eat tonight. (My friend Gregg is in town this weekend.)

Since I'm going out to eat tonight, I didn't have to fix much for lunch. Still, while I prepared that and ate, I watched last night's NEW AMSTERDAM. A better episode than the pilot, I thought, with an interesting case and even more interesting revelations about John's earlier life. Quite full of surprises.

Really am loving the show and hope it catches on once it's away from the IDOL carry-over audience.

Next, I watched THE ICE STORM on the soon-to-be-released Criterion 2-disc set. The film looks beautiful, and the Dolby Surround sound is the best I've ever heard the movie sound.

Of course, the film is deeply melancholy and full of pain. When it was over, I wanted to watch something silly like the Marx Bros. just to lighten the mood.

I didn't have the Marx Bros. at hand, so I put in the next silliest thing readily available, today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. Yes, Luke and Noah were on, planning on doing the very thing I predicted would happen with Imira.

Now, let me make some more predictions.Noah and Imira will marry, even though Noah swears it will only be platonic. Events will transpire that will cause them to become more than an "in-name-only" couple. Noah will be deeply in love with Imira when he learns from his father that they're actually half brother and sister.

I ended the afternoon watching the last half hour of today's LAW & ORDER rerun, one from the Carey Lowell years with a mob boss feigning insanity. Good episode.

NEW AMSTERDAM seems to be doing a better job of co-ordinating the back-flashes than did Journeyman. Also, John's willingness to have others close to him share his secret makes for more interesting plotting.

I wonder what sort of counter-programming the other networks will do.

I'll write for a bit and then head down to get ready for this evening. Thankfully, I mopped the kitchen floor this morning, so that chore is behind me.

We received a rather disturbing medical diagnosis for Miss Blue Moon, but she is on a round of treatment and we will know the prognosis in two weeks.  Vibes appreciated.

My drive home only took me about 20 minutes longer than usual, which isn't bad considering that we're now under a BLIZZARD warning.  Something tells me I won't be doing any information-waitressing tomorrow.

ooh, DR Jorge, you look most dashing in your new avatar (or maybe it's not that new since I've been so E and T)

No, you're right.  It's brand-spankin' new.  I took that myself just so that I would have a picture for the Side Show program.  Did you know/read that I was cast in a local production of Side Show??  I was!
