Oy, I am in customer service HELL trying to upgrade my kids' X Box Live account to Gold.  They don't speak or understand English and insist on reading (poorly, I might add) from scripts that have nothing to do with the problem.  I just called Microsoft Corporate Headquarters where I am sure I am the topic of some discussion right now.  :)

Is Helen Stenborg any relation to Jim?

Nope.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helen_Stenborg

She and Barney appeared together on a great HOMICIDE episode "In Search of Crimes Past" (Season 3) and I should buy the season on DVD just to have their episode.  I don't think there's any other footage of them working together.

Gee - actually, I didn't even think that DR RLP would post a response to my rantings.  What someone thinks one way or the other about anything I write here on HHW is NOT my first consideration in what I write and post.

I am a bit non plussed that he would say that MY own career in choreography and dance is NOTHING and means NOTHING when in fact, I have and will continue to do quite well, though never reaching the heights of fame of Mr Kelly.

I stand by what I say.  The point of my post is that after reading some things about Gene Kelly from people (including DR RLP)  here on HHW,  whose opinions I certainly respect, and seeing that AAIP was on television on Saturday night, I wanted to see it again and perhaps look at it differently.  I was just reporting that my opinion remained unchanged.

I am glad he has fans, I am glad his dancing is appreciated by many, just include me out - and I will say it as often as I wish - well, at least as often as I bother to think about it.

For all DR's on a lighter note:

The new husband of my niece Emily who received many HHW vibes late last year, Ryan, had his surgery at Johns Hopkins today and is doing fine.  All cancer was removed and the bladder is intact, to put it indelicately - thanks again to all for thinking of him.....

DR ELMORE - if MTI sends out anything extra that they usually don't include for SINGIN IN THE RAIN, tell them to throw it in the box for Putnam County Playhouse.....

I ad an hour long phone conversation with my brother Randy yesterday when I called to wish them a happy Easter and to learn yesterday's big dinner menu. Jo is such a good cook!  Anyway, he had tons of questions about family history, vague memories he had from the late 1950s - he was born in June 1957 - and it was fun talking to him.  I want to go back to visit for a week and chill out, so please, please, please keep the payment vibes rolling in! There are two checks I'm still expecting and I could use them in the bank and not in the aether.

Aether or . . .

~~~Very Quick (and accurate) Payment Vibes for DR Elmore!!~~~
I can't believe I forgot to mention THE SHIELD which is, bar none, the best cop show presently on TV (though it's on hiatus until the fall when it returns to FX for its final season of episodes.)
We had a pretty cold breeze blowing at lunch time, so I was glad I was wearing both a sweater and a light jacket. I was glad to get back in the car after walking across a parking lot with a very strong breeze.
We went to lunch late to avoid crowds since this is a school holiday and a pizza buffet place is a prime hangout for families. We were smart; it was pretty empty when we got there, so the timing was just perfect. And I ate the 20 pounds of food just as I said I would.
I did have time to watch three things this afternoon. I began with last night's DIRT episode, and it was fun, fun, fun. This is the first time we've seen Don's brother, I believe, and I hope they develop that relationship more in upcoming weeks. And Lucy's love life is definitely getting more interesting. That vibrator got kind of worn out week after week last season. More interesting seeing her with these hunks.
I ended my afternoon with another NUMB3RS episode. This one dealt with teams of robbers hitting upscale restaurants. And Don goes into therapy. That should be interesting if they continue to pursue it.
