Thanks, DRs Ron Pulliam and Edisaurus for the Azalea Confirmation.  There was another gentleman taking pictures of the blooms, and he asked me what I thought they were.  I told him I thought they were azaleas.  He thought they were too, but he had never seen an azalea bush that big, and he wondered if they might be some sort of rhododendron or other flower.

Went to Staples and ordered 1000 more shipping labels, bought more paper, printing ink, etc.  I had two discount cards for the copy center, but not only did they let me use the card for everything I bought (stuff not from the copy center) but they let me use BOTH cards - I saved about 50% off the entire order, basically getting the labels for free.  That's what I'M talkin' about.
That's what I call good customer service.

That "ad" for "The Tudors" actually popped up a few weeks ago.  Showtime obviously spent a lot of money on that "wrap" as well as the "wrap" for a number of the double-decker busses in town, as well as phone booth ads.  I'm just wondering if Sheraton has any sort of tie-in with the show and/or the network.

BK, last night I was watching an episode of HIGHWAY PATROL and the climax was filmed in front of and around back of a 5 and 10 cent store called HILLHURST VARIETY. Does that store ring a bell with you?

Hey, Laurents was able to fix the book to Hallelujah, Baby!, so I don't see why he can't get WSS to finally work!

DR Ben, I didn't have a chance to listen to Beverly's entire show. I thought maybe she had played Bryn Terfel for me and his other fans, but it must have been a different song...do you know which one it was? My clients wanted to hear her give me a shoutout but didn't have time to hear the whole show.

Amy, I'll listen to the show again and tell you where the clip is. If I get a chance I'll record the clip and send it to you as a sound file. I forget the specific song and even when it happened in the show (though I think it was after the half-hour point).

And since it happens to be gorgeous - again! - outside today, I took another little stroll through Central Park after I was done playing my auditions, and this is what I saw...

Actually, I was lying on my stomach propped up on my elbows in the middle of Columbus Circle.

Yes! Although, I believe I gave you the wrong day of the week the last time we talked.  It's next Tuesday night, April 15 (Tax Day!), Zankel Hall, 8:00pm.

The shipping is difficult to decide.  I can get a much better deal on these cardboard boxes (around .55 each if I buy 1000) - they hold 1-6 CDs.  But, what I'm not sure of is if they'll add sufficient weight that it will up the actual postal costs.  I know exactly what it costs when I use those envelopes.  But the envelopes are not cheap either - and I always worry for the safety of the jewel cases, although I haven't had many complaints of cracked cases.  But basically it costs me about 7.50 per 12 envelopes so it's a lot more money that way - you'd think it would be the other way around.

DR elmore - Tom Murray was at the auditions this morning.  He says, "HI!"  -And he was wondering when and if you were going to see Sunday in the Park with George (and the reduced orchestra).  ;)

bk - It's a hassle, but perhaps if you go to the post office with sample packages they can weigh them and tell you the postage costs.  I've been on line at the post office and seen people [ebayers?] do this.

Do you have to pay more for the reduced orchestra?

No, absolutely not.  In fact, you can watch the reduced orchestra for free every week on NBC's Biggest Loser.

That is how they've been reduced, right, by dieting?

OH!  Speaking of Sunday in the Park with George...  I'm actually seeing the show again tonight.  When I went to pick up my ticket earlier today at the box office, I found out that they discount codes now apply for (almost) any available seat at Studio 54, and not just the ones off to the side and higher-up as usual.  They just changed over this week after they announced the next two-week extension.

True dat!

Actually, I knew nothing about this DialIdol thing. Very interesting. They say it has accurately predicted the winner every time.

I've never even considered voting. Has anybody here actually dropped a dime on this show?

You bet I have. No one was a more faithful repeat caller for Clay Aiken, Elliot Yamin, and Melinda Dolittle than I was. Didn't help them win, but each got close.

I have voted for no one this year. I never felt passionately about anyone since the Hollywood round.

Lunch started very late today, so my viewing time this afternoon was limited. It was such a beautiful day outside that I didn't mind waiting on the porch for my ride and just drink in the fresh air and sunshine.

And speaking of Mr. Aiken... He just got "hand-printed" at the Planet Hollywood in Times Square yesterday.  I saw some of the footage on the news.  Alas, it looks like he's changed stylists again - or reverted back to his old one...
