Yes, this is a kids show. And that is a good thing. Sometimes I think the only group writing for young people is the staff at Disney, with their sitcoms. And those shows all seem alike after a point. Sarah Jane is different, and enjoyable for being different.

.... There's something discriminatory about he Slitheen as villians. Yes, I understand the conceit of how they use the bodies of "large" people as disguises, because they can't fit into the bodies of smaller people, but by making one of the Slitheen a juvenile, I can't help thinking that this could make real "large" kids the targets of even more prejudice than they are facing even now, by their snotty and snarky peers.
Just a thought.
