Appendix?  How did such a book section get the same name as a useless body part?

Glad to hear that DR GINNY survived yesterday!  She had too much to do in too little time.
...

Thanks, DR JRand!  I was so tired last night, I had trouble going to sleep.  What's up with that?

Very nice looking man & costumes, DR MBARNUM.  Will he have lots of dancers with him?

Yes, and a magic act too!

Woooohooooooooo!  ;D

DR GINNY sometimes the body IS too tired to sleep.  You have to be awake for some of the regenerating processes to take place or at least begin.....or that's what some doctor told me once.  8)

Good Morning!  Good Afternoon!

I'm up, I'm up... And I actually got up around 8:00am(EST)... Then made myself go back to sleep for a few more hours... Then 9:00... 10:00... And then I finally put my feet on the floor a little after Noon.

-In other words, I think my sleep schedule is already back to normal. ;)

DR MattH i agree with you that David cook is the most popular.  However the thing is worry about is where the 3rd place person's votes will go.  Although since syesha was a more mature voice. I doubt that many of her fans will go to little david.

DR Jennifer - As for "ANTM" - I suspect the winning model's verbal skills really helped her win.  -I don't think I could have taken another Jaslene.  ;)  I think her "real woman" figure gave her an edge from the marketing side of the venture.

MattH - I said clearly I wasn't criticizing - but I think in DVD reviewing when a DVD has been out before it's nice to know what the differences are.  A further caveat is that I haven't seen the Criterion, but am basing my comments on screencaps.  I have no doubt that the Criterion is sharper and cleaner and I'll probably have to have it, but JMK is right about the reds (and blues from what I can see in the caps) - much richer in the MGM, as they should be.  I had an IB Tech print of the film - anyone who has ever seen anything printed in IB Tech knows that reds are incredibly poppy as are blues and greens - and that the skin tones are not quite so pasty brown.  When I get the Criterion I'll be more detailed, but, as I already posted, others are saying the same thing.

So now EVERYONE gets in the credit list, huh?  That is everyone hired under a SAG agreement....no wonder it takes a LONG time to roll the credits at the end of a moviel

I bought my nephew's graduation card for the celebration on May 31....and even already put the $$ in it, so I am ready!  Ready on Day One, just like what's her name.

I was awakened by a call from a Pitney Bowes person who wanted to talk to me about my account.  He alerted me to the fact that I probably wasn't aware that I was being charged 7.99 every time I downloaded postage.  I told him that was correct, that no one had ever bothered to inform me of that.  He credited me back half the charges, put me on a four dollar a month higher plan that has no download charges at all, asked if I'd gotten my three free $10 postage coupons (I hadn't) credited that to my machine (I'll therefore have thirty bucks in postage on my machine next Friday), etc.

Oh, all right, I'll tell you since you're all bugging me so much.   ;)

The underscore of OUT OF THE PAST is based on "The First Time I Saw You," the song Frances sang (and I use the term extremely loosely, LOL) in THE TOAST OF NEW YORK.

California's Top Court Overturns Same-Sex Marriage Ban

Quote
Thursday, May 15, 2008

SAN FRANCISCO  —  The California Supreme Court overturned a ban on gay marriage Thursday, calling such a prohibition unconstitutional and paving the way for California to become the second state where gay and lesbian residents can marry.

In the 4-3 decision, Chief Justice Ron George wrote for the majority that domestic partnerships are not a good enough substitute for marriage.

In striking down the ban, the court said, "In contrast to earlier times, our state now recognizes that an individual's capacity to establish a loving and long-term committed relationship with another person and responsibly to care for and raise children does not depend upon the individual's sexual orientation, and, more generally, that an individual's sexual orientation — like a person's race or gender — does not constitute a legitimate basis upon which to deny or withhold legal rights."

The Republican Governor has said he will uphold it.
The Republican Governor said he is opposed to any ballot initiative (schemed for November) to overturn it.
