What would boring dreams be?  A snoozefest?

The mosquitos here are terrible, plus I discovered a new yellow jacket nest. One stung me on the fingertip, but I shook him off before he got a good hold on me. Semi-ouch. Beside the usual dozens of mossquito bites, I was also stung by two "sweat bees". Not as bad as a real bee sting, but hurts much more than a mosquito bite.

Ouch is right! I've only been biten by a bee once and hope to keep it that way. As for the skeeters, I don't recall seeing this many before.

Anti-sting vibes to Amy.

I really do need to revisit the decluttering aspect of my life soon. Such excitement! Somehow it's easier to do it on a cold winter day.

SWW, I had heard from my freind CAssie that BBC had some nice features on the Classic Doctor Who eppies. She really liked Time Warrior. It is on my "to see' list.

Edi, bee stings hurt!  I have been stung a couple of times.

This year has not been too bad for mosquitoes. In the past we have had a lot of problems with them especially after a really heavy rainfall or if we get a strong east wind.

I agree....

I may head out to a local pioneer village for something to do. I hate being indoors when it is nice.

Today was "The Blessing of the Animals" at our church, so I leashed Dixie Bell up, got her into the car and took her to an outdoor service.
We ran and ran through the adjoining cemetery with Miss Dixie only taking two little lay-me-downs to regroup her thoughts.
Only one other dog was there, Moses a gorgeous basset hound, who took a liking to Dixie; the feeling was mutual. (Thank goodness).
Once the blessing began, Dixie sat next to the keyboard and behaved beautifully.
The twenty or so parishoners all came over to Dixie at the end of the service and complimented her.
Now Dixie Bell is completely worn out and my sweat glands are still working overtime.

While DBF was here, we went and saw the movie Mamma Mia. Granted Pierce Brosnan's singing talents aside, it is a fun movie and perfect for summer.

It was a fun movie. I really liked the actress who played Sophie. Julie Walters was a hoot! Her and Christine Baranski are fun to watch.

Obviously, you've never heard Joe Cocker, Tom Waits or Van Morrison sing. . . .  ;)

The local independent theatre has been playing classic movies all summer. DBF and I managed to see two of them. We saw American Graffiti and Breakfast at Tiffany's.  I draw the line at Caddyshack being classic...

DBF really enjoyed Breakfast at Tiffany's. Audrey Hepburn is an incredible actress and it was a real treat to watch that movie on the big screen.

However, we missed seeing Double Indemnity! Darn!

I do like a couple of songs by Van but not a huge fan. I am not a Tom Waits fan.... Cocker I can handle in small doses

I probably should take a day off from jogging one of these days - but I don't think today is the day, and, you know, I've become a little obsessive about it.  But my back (lower back especially) is very sore from these long runs - we shall see.

DR Elmore must be feeling better. Hooray!

I am feeling better today, thank you, all! I'm still pondering an appointment with my HMO. Just in case.

Well, I just popped in to say 'Hi" and "Bye."  This Wednesday is my dad's 70th birthday(!) and I'm going to my sister's house right now so that we can figure out what we're going to do.  We should've thought about this earlier, but oh, well.  Have a good day, all!

Back from the long jog on a brand new route - west instead of east.  It sure seems like a longer route but that may be because there are several more major intersections in that direction along with several minor ones.  The other route has only two major intersections and no minor ones.  I didn't think I was going to finish, but I did.
