Hmm, just noticed that my last post was #99.  Does something special happen when I reach 100?  Let's find out...

Let's do the Santa Claus Polka, shall we?

BK,

The 3 French Hens are dancing the Can Can in the jacuzzi and making a mess of the place!

The Christmas Song
(Torme-Wells)
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up like eskimos

Everybody knows some tofu and some mistletoe
Help to make the season bright

DRFrancois, is this the vegetarian version?

Actually, DRFrancois, about a month ago, I posted that if anyone wanted a copy of my Christmas CD, they should PM me their address and I'd send them one.  No one responded!

I handed out a couple at Bruce's Dec. 6 reading, and I mailed a few to other DRs whose addresses I had.  If you'd like one, let me know.

Well, dear Elmore, I think you have MY address!!!

So how were the throngs at B&N today?

Yay!!!

Ohmigod, now that she's no longer a newbie, she'll be impossible!

By the way, DRGinny, I loved today's snowy shot.  It conjured up memories of my brother Tom and me trudging up Central Avenue to Wilson Elementary School!

Well, dear Elmore, I think you have MY address!!!

So how were the throngs at B&N today?

Busy, busy, busy!  Actually, all, except for one sour woman trying to jump the cashier line, were pleasant and friendly.  The lines were enormous, but the store manages traffic control very well and I think the longest anyone had to wait in line was 7 minutes.  All the customers seemed quite happy about that.

Every employee I spoke to remarked how quickly the day passed.

DRGinny, I thought I gave you the Christmas compilation when you were here in November.  My mind is turning to floop.

When I just read this I thought it said "So how were the thongs at B&N today?"  I think we all know that thongs are NOT the official undergarments here at haineshisway.com, therefore they should not be the undergarments at B&N.

Larry,

I stand corrected, even though I was not being controversial -- gee! i love that word; controversial! --

I do remember your offer and I guess we thought that if we favourably answered you, you'd be spending way too much money on us!

Michael Moore's cd is fun too!
It has:

W's Nuts Roasting On An Open Fire!  :o

A Kerry Christmas To You!

and a US Soldier song:
I'll Be Home For Xmas -- I Hope!

Anyway!

Happy Holidays!

Speaking of food... DD and I had a very cheap lunch earlier today. We went to California Pizza Kitchen where we had a coupon for a free appetizer. This we got.(Spinach & Artichoke Dip w chips).  DD ordered potato leek soup, which she didn't like (way too thick) so it was sent back. Her salad was fine - until she found a hair in it. Back - no charge, of course. And, to make up for the hair anguish, a coupon for a free appetizer at some future time. Total bill for two soups, (one returned), one appetizer (free) a salad (mostly eaten, but returned) and a Diet Coke - $5. (But I left a tip for what would have been the bill before all this - so the tip was almost as large as the total).

B&N does NOT care for undergarments since it stands for Bare & Nude!

I do believe the underwear of choice at the B&N I frequent is white cotton underpants, although today, Andrew, one of our holiday help, stooped to retrieve a book and showed all the first floor employees the top of his plaid boxers!  He will be reprimanded.

FELIZ NAVIDAD, AMIGAS Y AMIGOS!

(I’m Dreaming of a)
White Christmas

The sun is shining, the grass is green
The orange and palm trees sway,
Theres never been such a day
In Beverly Hills, L.A.
But its December the 24th
And I am longing to be up north.

Im dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten
and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow

Im dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white.

Merry Christmas all! Just got back from the store. We bought my mom White Christmas on DVD so I will be acquiring the tape for the time being. :-) I will try to be around but there is still cookie baking to do! White Christmas just popped up on Itunes and it is making me happy to look out the window and see all this snow! I'll be heading to midnight mass in about 3 1/2 hours so I hopefully won't miss too much of the big holiday party. Ahhh, now it's moved onto Louie singing "When it's Christmastime in New Orleans."

DR Elmore works at a place called Bare & Nude?

Now I know what puts that skip in his step.
