Rodzinski could also direct a version of THE FACTS OF LIFE featuring that actress as Mrs. Carrot.

Would you believe...PAT CARROT AND BILLY THE KID?

Yes, I'm still here.

Now I can say I've seen the Peter Jackson King Kong.

So we wait -and hope!

der Brucer
The problem with waiting is, the longer you wait the less good the news gets.

Our prospective Angie-adopter called a little while ago.  Her fiance, who had the final say in the matter, said "no."

He's not being a cad, he's realizing the problems that adopting yet another dog into the family can create.  She already has two dogs, and I believe she said that he has one of his own.  I can testify that having a large family of dogs is a lot to handle.

So Angie will be with us for a while longer.  This isn't a sad ending to the story, just a graphic at the end of the episode that reads "To Be Continued..."

I love MY NAME IS EARL, too. The premise is unique, the characters endearing (Earl, Randy, CrabMan) or trashy fun (Joy), and there's humor and sentiment with every episode. My kind of comedy. SCRUBS does that, too.

As if mis-hearing lyrics isn't bad enough, I was half-listening to the Home and Garden Network, and thought I'd heard the hostess refer to something as a "glittering Jew."  Turned out she was referring to a house as a glittering jewel in its neighborhood (my herring must be going), but I sort of liked the concept of a glittering Jew.

I, however, still have Thursday's MY NAME IS EARL and THE OFFICE yet to watch. Should get to them tomorrow. I did manage to watch Friday night's CONVICTION tonight. More cases and fewer personal stories made for a better episode.

The show isn't catching on, however. The ratings have been ebbing since the premiere, and last night's rating was no better than THE BOOK OF DANIEL was generating. I suspect when the 13 episodes have played, that's the last we'll see of CONVICTION. Now that I've gotten involved in the show, I'll ride it to the end (likely only a few more weeks).

I did like seeing Ken Howard, Robert LuPone, Priscilla Lopez, and Stephen Bogardus as guest stars on CONVICTION. Many wonderful NYC actors get to show up regularly on Dick Wolf's shows.

I finished TILL THE CLOUDS ROLL BY. Beautiful Technicolor throughout (thought there were occasional minor color fluctuations). Still looked beautiful.

Alas, all I have left out of the box is THREE LITTLE WORDS. I saved it for last because I had watched my videotape of it just a months and a half ago.

I watched THE INTERPRETER tonight on HBO-HD. It had slipped my mind that Sydney Pollack directed the film (and had a fairly small role in it, too). I was expecting intrigue comparable to THREE DAYS OF THE CONDOR, and it was disapppointing compared to that thrilling film. Still, I did get immersed in it and enjoyed it for the most part.

Again, since it was filmed in NYC, casting pulled wonderful actors from the NYC pool: Robert Clohessey, David Zayas among others. Good to see them working.

Just got a sweet e-mail from Richard Weede, who'd reread my comments on his father, Mr. Robert Weede, back in the days of The Real A (I've also told the same anecdotes here).  I think we're actually going to chat soon, which will be lovely.

Absolutely!

And please forgive my ignorance but is that New York City at night or somewhere else?

Been watching my TIVO of South Pacific.  All I can say is that the score puts to shame any musical written in the last twenty years - and I mean TO SHAME.
