There was more planning on the birthday trip. Mom wants to go to DeSmet, SD to see the Little Town on the Prairie.  It's one of many Laura Ingels Wilder sites.  It's fairly close to the International Vinegar Museum, but I can't convince her that we should stop there.  I mean if it's a road trip, it's gonna be a road trip.

Yes, I did indeed mean BOSTON LEGAL. BOSTON PUBLIC has been gone for a season or two. Geez!

ALIAS, well, had what was for me the nadir of its five years on the air. Even when something that was supposed to be tragic happened, I didn't feel the slightest bit of remorse. Sad, sad, sad when a show stays on the air too long.

It's gonna be quite the adventure. I haven't done a road trip with my parents since 1984, (we drove to Alaska and back) so this should be fun.  But, I'm getting way ahead of myself.   Work has been very stressful. When I get stressed out, I relax by planning trips.  They may not happen until sometime in the future, but the planning is fun for me

INVASION had a quite gripping episode tonight. Not as creepy or as unnerving as many previous episodes have been but just as engrossing.

Well, there WAS one especially weird moment during the show that was a superb visual shock.

Hey, here I am in Redding, CA - Motel 6, which doesn't do wireless - but have modem, will dial-up!

Thanks to all DR's for such nice road vibe-age... no traffic to speak of - a little slow through Sacramento at 5. Nice weather once i got outa LA...

I forgot how long the sun stays up, at this latitude!

Ok - so I loved all the kitty pix! Want one!!! And good ol' Fletcher!

Bruce - you are having a reality meltdown, that's all. yes, go eat something, fa' chrissakes - something comforty. Maybe I'll phone from the road tomorrow, with cheeriness - and a nice bitch-slapping! That'll do the trick, I say!

Well, these ol' bones are so weary - think I'll flop into my $40-a-night bed and watch the complimentary TV... maybe I'll be back... don't wait up...

As for IDOL

spoiler - - - - - - - - -

I was sweating bullets for Elliott. I was thoroughly pleased that Paris was let go. She has terrific raw talent there, and had her mother held her out of the show until she was 20 or 21, she would have been unbeatable.

But I remember in one of the features on her that she had begun to lose her interest in singing, and I think IDOL was a way they could revitalize that interest. Time will tell if it worked or not.

I already know that hell will be sharing a room with DR  Matt H and he'll have the remote.

But it is a perfect Hell, and the remote will control an 11" Black and White TV.

Boy, this talk about foster kittens brings back memories. It was the most rewarding and sometimes most heartbreaking thing I've done.

I'm watching "Lost" right now, and so far, no "WOW" moment.  It's at the very end of the episode, isn't it?

cute... Just about ready to leave work.. Lot of people studying but quiet at the desk. I may drop in breifly when I get home but I may just settle with my notes and study... If that is the case I will not drop in until later tomorrow.
