TCB - thanks for the vibes - it feels very uneventful, somehow... kind of - dare I say it? - anti-climactic after last night's raccoon partay... I'm about to go out on the deck with my bag o' peanuts for the blue jays... at some point, I'll get around to preparing my actual work for the actual job...

Is this what happens when you let your hair come in silver??? Life just seems so mellow here in the forest. No real inclination to interrupt the serenity with anything so drab as driving to Seattle to do a play...

Penny O, you are welcome to the whole family of raccoons that uses my apartment's parking lot as their dining room.  Coming home from rehearsal or performance, I often encounter the entire family on their way to the giant dumster.  Daddy is not exactly the most even-termpered fellow where his family's safety is concerned.

                         HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

I have my one glorious day off today. Going to the Farmers Market in a bit. Then walk around Studio City and check out some of the little shops. Then, if I feel like it, I might treat myself to a pedicure. Then home and maybe reading, a DVD...
Tonight I'm invited to a charity (for breast cancer) silent auction/party thingee which is just up the street -- don't even have to drive.
And I got a lovely e-card from DD in Budapest in which she said she loved me and I was her best friend. Can't beat that.

Nice pic, TCB!

DR PennyO - workday vibes to you.

Our DS Rob also had a raccoon encounter last night (well, early this morning) when he arrived home from his social outing to Cincinnati.

I think we've just made the decision to change the title of the short story collection (which I'm starting to have to get serious about if I want it out in September) - I know several people here liked the title we're going to use -

How To Write A Dirty Book and Other Stories.

Off to Half-Price Books with DS Rob, then to Graeter's with him and my mom and my aunt.

Bye for now!

It is indeed a beautiful day in the Pacific Northwest.  It is supposed to be in the mid-seventies today and then take a giant leap to the mid-eighties tomorrow.  GOOD GRIEF!  Oh well, I guess it is fitting that it should be hot as Haydes on the day I go for my hospital pre-op appointment.  The other night I got a call from the hospital wanting to do my pre-registation prior to my pre-op.  I wonder if accident victims are required to pre-register if they think there is any chance that they might need ER care?

I spent 2 and 1/2 hours sitting in non-moving traffic on I-5 yesterday while a tour bus full of high school musicians (no one was hurt) caught fire and burned to a twisted hulk of metal.

Well, I guess it wasn't full of high school students after all?

Today is May 14.

Today is Mother's Day, of course, but I think it is also the day that Publisher's Clearing House is supposed to come to my door and hand me a check for $1,000,000.00, or maybe it was $10,000,000.00.  Either way, I guess I should stay around the house and wait for them .  Now, let me see, there was some phrase they sent me a few weeks ago that I was supposed to say when they gave me the check; and, if I did, they would slip me an additional $5,000.00 cash.  Hmm, what did I do with that e-mail?[/size]

I hope they show up.

Nice new avitar. :)

Thank you for the Mother’s Day wishes.  We are currently on the phone with Keith’s mother.  Craig sent email from work saying his home computer is down which means I won’t get to see him on webcam today.

While I didn’t get called Bryan’s best friend (really nice Maria), he sends beautiful sentiments of love in his cards.

Happy Mother’s Day & a good day for everyone.

Please believe me when I say that there is no punch line involved in this post.  Some things are too special to joke about.

And special Mother's Day wishes to Danise's dear mother.

Well, my sister is having a family get-together today at 4:00 p.m., and she needs me to come over NOW to help her.  I haven't taken a shower and I still need to do a little shopping.  I have a card and the "main" gift, but I'd like to get some chocolate covered macadamia nuts...my mom loves them!

So, that will be my day, until "Desperate Housewives" starts...then it's TV time!

With all this talk of Il Divo and Mario Frangoulis, I have discovered a new singer that some of you might enjoy...and he is a baritone, which makes me particularly happy!

Patrizio is a singer from Italy with his first CD out...I just happened upon it at Borders...quite a crooner!

His debut CD is available in English and in Italian...I haven't decided which I will get, yet.
