FOR ALL YOU MOTHERS OUT THERE

Well, you've read the notes, you know that today is a day for Mothers, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're celebrating Moother's Day.

And the word of the day is: CREPITATE!

Smoke on your pipe and put that in!

And now - Dino at the piano.

Happy Mother's Day to those of you with the title!

When do you want Adam's number, MR BK?

An alien man singing to a curious alien woman.....with relish.  This is my KIND of musical already!

So....what a nice quote....almost hard to believe, but still interesting:

"Ever since I was a little girl in Florida, I have wanted to create a role on Broadway."  It's a great goal, but where did she get the idea?  And why did Disney do an extensive search for "Mary" wasting the time and raising the hopes of countless actresses, only to cast the woman who was playing Belle in their Broadway BEAUTY AND THE BEAST?

Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, Tina, whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?

I do not like the word of the day.
I do not like it to do or say.
I will not comment in any way
Upon the chosen word of the day.

That doesn't stop us here at HHW!  ;D

Yesterday on the American Idol Message Boards there was an important topic discussed:

Kat Denies Being a Scientologist.

This was soon followed by a thread titled:

Kat Denies Being a Tupperware Lady.

Poor Elliot is taking a bashing for his choppers and his vibrato....which I think a LOT of people on that board think is a garment worn port de bras or something sold on the internet by Doc Johnson.

It took me a while to figure out why my gut was so sore yesterday when I was at work.  Was it a reaction to the German food der B and I had on Friday?

No, I decided it was from having been punched too often by a fifty-pound puppy named Angie, who decided to wrastle with Fletcher on my bed after we had returned home.  Did she care that she was repeatedly landing on myself, who was trying to lay down for a mo', with her full weight on a single paw?  Of course not.

This is a pup who needs an active boy or two.

I have one fewer show to watch tonight as COLD CASE is preempted by all the SURVIVOR hoo-ha. Gives me a chance to watch DVDs right up to 9 p.m. tonight.

I have THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE to finish this afternoon, but after that, I really don't know what I'll select to watch. And I'm not definite at this stage whether it will be something previously watched (MIGHTY APHRODITE sounds good) or something just received. Decisions, decisions.

Odd feelings about Mothers' Day this year - as you might guess. I think I'm going to put away the pictures. It's time.

What a gawjus day here! Feels almost Too Bad to have to leave for a matinee! Yes, The Actress is feeling a small conflict about going to the theatah! Well, i have the morning to feed the birds and walk around the garden, NOT weeding... that'll be hard!

Last night, I had just gotten into bed around ten or so - when I heard a small commotion on the deck... suddenly there is a little face at the window - a small bandit in a black mask peering in at me.

I got outa bed and turned on the deck floodlight, and a young raccoon just stared at me. I ran to the kitchen to get the bag o' cat food, and brought it into the bedroom, opened the door. He stepped back a few feet, but just kept staring at me as I filled his dish. I hadn't even straightened up when he came to the dish - so I just left the door open and sat in the doorway, not 18 inches away from this wondrous little guy! I did get up to get a robe once - he just kept eating. Then I lay on my stomach in the doorway, my face about a foot away from his, and watched him eat. At one point he started drinking the filthy water from my little fountain - so I took the other bowl to the bathroom to get fresh water - I put it down right next to his food dish - he was a little scared, but then dipped his paw in... Ah! water... then bent way down to drink. Back and forth between the food and the water, and all this face to face! I'm going to hate to leave here tomorrow afternoon, to do the show, stay in Seattle overnight, and head back to LA Tuesday morning. But I'll be back by a week from Thursday. Oh, it's just bliss here in the spring and summer, I tell ya!

Hmmmm....

Some dark clouds have rolled in and I'm thinking we may indeed get rain in a little while. Bummer.

Anyway, off to start on the usual Sunday chores.

Sunday morning greetings!  It's a drippy, dreary Mother's Day here in SW Ohio.  DS Rob and DH Richard gave me very mushy cards and a box of Russell Stover assorted dark chocolates.  Our official celebration was last Sunday with a lovely lunch with my mother, Richard's mother, and my aunt.  I might take my mom and aunt to Graeter's for ice cream later, if the weather clears up a little.

It is indeed a beautiful day in the Pacific Northwest.  It is supposed to be in the mid-seventies today and then take a giant leap to the mid-eighties tomorrow.  GOOD GRIEF!  Oh well, I guess it is fitting that it should be hot as Haydes on the day I go for my hospital pre-op appointment.  The other night I got a call from the hospital wanting to do my pre-registation prior to my pre-op.  I wonder if accident victims are required to pre-register if they think there is any chance that they might need ER care?

Overcast but NOT raining yet!

More news:

TRAPEZE with Burt and Tony (and Gina) is on TCM tonight.  I haven't seen it since it was shown on the ABC Sunday Night movie when I was much....uh...slightly....younger.  I seem to remember it was pretty exciting!

I spent 2 and 1/2 hours sitting in non-moving traffic on I-5 yesterday while a tour bus full of high school musicians (no one was hurt) caught fire and burned to a twisted hulk of metal.

that is all.

Today is May 14.

Today is Mother's Day, of course, but I think it is also the day that Publisher's Clearing House is supposed to come to my door and hand me a check for $1,000,000.00, or maybe it was $10,000,000.00.  Either way, I guess I should stay around the house and wait for them .  Now, let me see, there was some phrase they sent me a few weeks ago that I was supposed to say when they gave me the check; and, if I did, they would slip me an additional $5,000.00 cash.  Hmm, what did I do with that e-mail?[/size]

I'm up, I'm up, and I feel quite like a Mother already.

Jrand, send me his number - it's a crazy week this week, getting the musical ready, but I'll find time to have lunch.
