Wouldn't it be fun to have someone actually named Skip to play SKIP THE PRESIDENT?

I just have one question:  WHAT THE HELL WAS IZZY THINKING????

Possible spoiler

She totally lost it (by the way that is a professional diagnosis).  I can't believe he agreed to go through with it.  She's going to ruin her career, which I can't believe she would be willing to do especially after all we've learned about the sacrifices she's made in her past to get to where she is now.

And it looks like NBC is giving no consideration to Saturday nights.

Not just NBC. Other than Fox's COPS and AMERICA'S MOST WANTED, no network has programmed original programming on Saturday for at least two years.

My lunch ran long. One stop we made was to a local Best Buy where there was a CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY demo running in HD-DVD. Absolutely stunning color, sharpness, an almost three dimensional look to the entire film. One would have been tempted to sit and watch the entire movie is was so immersive an experience.

Came home and watched last night's first LAW & ORDER: CI (saw the second episode "live"). Interesting case(s) and setting up the leaving of the series by Jamey Sheridan which happened in the second hour last night.

Then I watched the high definition version of ROBIN AND THE SEVEN HOODS recorded off the INHD channel last night. The movie is WAY too long, but I surely do love the song "Style."

I am following in MattH's footsteps.  In honor of my very temporary "retired" status, I have scheduled a series of lunch dates and have been catching up on my DVD viewing.  I will however, not be doing any cleaning. :)

Today's viewing will include Disc 2 of Season 2 of Alias, and the season finale of Grey's Anatomy.  If I have time I will also view Beautiful Boxer, a film based on a true life story of a transgendered Thai kickboxer who fought competitively in part to raise money for his sex change operation.  It was highly recommended by a friend at GMHC.

If I skip the gym then I will have more viewing time.  But then how would I make up for the chocolate fudge frosting that I am currently eating right out of the container.

For those interested in the new All-Star edition of BIG BROTHER coming in July, here's a news release about it:

<CBS selecting 20 former players as finalists for the upcoming all-star edition of Big Brother. The players won't learn whether they've made it into the house until the show's live July 6 premiere, when eight of them will be abruptly sent home. With that kind of potential for massive on-camera meltdowns, we're setting our TiVos now.>

When I get a HUGE craving for chocolate, I often do that, too!

More importantly, IMO:

Quote
Big Brother's seventh edition will feature an "All-Stars" cast comprised of houseguests who have appeared on the reality show's six previous editions. After CBS and the show's producers select a pool of twenty previous contestants, the public will get to vote on which former houseguests will get to participate in Big Brother 7: All-Stars. As in previous years, Julie Chen will host the Thursday broadcasts that will feature the live eviction of one of the houseguests.[/quote]

I’ve been working in the yard with Keith.  Now I’m inside & he is still slaving away out there.  It is only 91 degrees out there.  Its times like this I think we should move to a condo.

Then I walked into our almost completed new bathroom.  Today our tub, sink vanity & all plumbing fixture were installed.  It all looks prettier than I expected.  Tomorrow the electricians will finish & the bathroom will be completed.

I jogged and did the extra two blocks again - the day is going from hazy to sunny and sunny to hazy.  I've got to shower now - the pianist should be here in about twenty minutes.

My brother and sister-in-law gave me a HUMONGOUS bad of Pepperidge Farm Milanos as one of my birthday presents a little while back.  I thought it was going to be an orgy of food, which had to be eaten lest the Milanos go stale.  But it actually had four separate bags within the big bag, so that the Milanos can be eaten in moderation.  I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.  (As they say, moderation is good...in moderation.)

That should be BAG of cookies, not BAD of cookies.  That spelling error must mean something.  :)

Actually, the BIG BROTHER public vote will put the top three male and the top three female vote getters into the house. The remaining contestants will be chosen by the show's producers.

On a sadder note, INVASION has been canceled by ABC. However, they renewed WHAT ABOUT BRIAN, an hour dramedy that did dismally in the ratings on Monday night.

Looks like 7th HEAVEN might be back for at least 13 shows next season after all. What a surprise!

Any Tony nomination predictions?

I'm showered and feel fresh and am just waiting for the pianist to arrive - he's a bit of a dweeb so he's already late.

I'd only be able to speculate on the Tony Awards® based on who I'd like to win...I haven't seen ANY of the potential nominees.  Someday, I do hope to go back to NYC!
